time for late dinner. golden dragon is open until 10 and it's why we ended up here just after nine. the service was fast and friendly. the banquet at $35 a person was more than four hungry divers could finish. the food was all excellent with two minor exceptions. the chicken corn soup was thinner than traditional and the beef was a bit too salty.

mrs canuck and i are likely to return here.

did we just come on a bad day?  upon being seated, i had high hopes for a yum cha lunch which would mainly comprise of dumplings.  we also chose from the menu. (dumplings) sadly, not much was being made today. i had a few that were just ok.  in the end we waited a 40 mins for our ordered dumplings but i had to ask where were they?  they were not good today was their reply.. i thought so too.

although quite overpriced, i feel that it is definitely worth the money! the food here is amazing!!! the service is always great, can happily say i have been here a few times for special occasions 😊
if you can look past the sticky floors, then this place is awesome! plenty of seating, clean restrooms, friendly staff and delicious food! its a go to!

lovely dinner here the other night, we ordered the peking duck banquet. the san choi bao was deliciously crunchy, the peking duck was crispy, the soup was a bit like soy sauce soup. overall generous value, we were so full and couldn't finish off the fried rice, however we had it for lunch the next day and it was yummy 😋

authentic chinese taste ! bring back my home town taste

i'm from shen zhen canton area in china , been geelong 2 years for study

weekend yumcha with friends at golden dragon , i was so happy and touched by the taste , it was same as when i was in china , not even the yumcha dishes , also the clay pot dishes was fantastic . i've told my parents in china that i have found this place as my home town flavors when i miss home food .

my friend recommend us if go to geelong must try golden dragon
we really enjoyed today's lunch , a good mixture of yumcha dishes
great balance of taste of each dumpling

also, the mongolian beef on hot plate is my favorite dish  
the local mussels cooked with garlic and wine sauce very tasty

terrible service, waited almost 2 hours for food that we then declined to wait for any longer and left, well over priced.
went in for what was talked up to be an amazing experience, left hunger, disappointed and with an empty pocket.
disappointed is really in understatement.

the service was a bit slow, but the food was mostly, pork dumplings were a bit weird though. one of the vegetarian dumplings had some gross pork stuff in it

1st time visit geelong , suprisly geelong got such a good standard of chinese restuarant , much better quality then most of the restaurant from china town
love the dish of singapore chilli crabs with noodle , sichuan beef dry pot , very tasty ! will visit for yumcha soonc. very happy today ！

我很喜欢这个餐厅做的菜，是广东粤菜，味道很正宗，能够让我想起家乡的味道，厨师的手艺很棒，餐厅的用餐氛围很好，而且服务员挺热情的，在国外要想吃点正宗的家乡味可不容易，难得这里保持了那种原汁原味的制作方法，烧腊，卤菜，甚至连炒菜都没有改变，推荐中国的朋友和喜欢中国菜的外国朋友来尝试，这里的收费并不高，相比哪些高大上的餐厅，再次印证了中国的古话：巷深出酒香！

amazing meals and great service. meals came out really fast. my husband had the roast duck and said it was great. i had ginger prawns in the birds nest and it was lovely. highly recommend

yumcha is good, have a pretty good selection and quality is decent. the normal menu is okay, but yumcha is better . pretty good option for geelong
