amazing!. i tried this restaurant for the first time a couple of years ago and keep going back and bringing friends and family. the food is amazing! truly italian, the service is out of this world. they servers are very attentive, corteous and friendly. you never have to wait for a table, even on mother's day i was able to make a reservation for a party of 8 an hour before we got to the restaurant. the prices are not cheap, they are average compare to carrabba's or maggiano's but you get quality fresh food. highly recommend the linguini di mare :)

not worth the money at all!! save $60 and go buy a stouffers lasagna. it'll taste better.

worst restaurant service. gio's italian restaurant is absolutely the very worst restaurant in all of tampa bay for customer service, terrible customer service, no respect towards customers, not enough staff, no courtesy, unhappy employees!! .customers can wait 50-60 minutes to get any service, and treat customers disrespectfully!!

the original owners were great. once they sold the restaurant yrs ago, the new owners are not there & dont seem to care & the current staff is always understaffed and cannot handle the business, the employees (including head waiter/ manager) needs major overhaul retraining. this is hurting the restaurant so much!!!!!!!! very poor service!!

would not go again. the food was expensive and very average best. service was absolutely terrible and we could not find anyone to help us. we were not alone and it was a hassle to even get the bill. don't go

not happy!. i went to this restaurant with a coupon, you can tell they were annoyed. i ordered veal parmigiana with spaghetti . instead of veal what he made me was bread crumbs and egg. he fired it and try to pass it off, the only problem is i'm italian and that's what we do with left over egg and bread crumb. they didn't have fettuccine on the menu? so we asked for , he charged us $20.00 for a lunch portion and mine was full price for spaghetti, bread crumbs and egg. we also order an appetizer. i would never go there again and i wouldn't recommend them to anyone. if he had been fair and not use my coupon against me i would have returned.

happened upon gio's and boy oh boy are we glad of it. delicious meal. i had the linguine and clams and my boyfriend the penne alla vodka. both sauces were excellent. we wrapped up with homemade tiramisu and left happy! we will be back. i can't believe they have been here for 11 years and we never knew it!

best caprese i had in a very long time. which was 3 slices of red tomato with fresh mozzarella chopped fresh basil and most delicate balsamic reduction i ever had which would not of worked if the rest of was subpar, but it was not and in fact one of the best caprese i ever had.
we also had the covina fish in a lobster sauce with crab meat a special not on their normal menu which was about 26. the first thing i noticed was the real lobster taste in the sauce which made me think the chief studied in france in french cooking as well as it was wonderful and the fish was perfectly cooked and the texture of the crab was there but not the flavor as the lobster flavor was stronger but that was fine and the dish was still wonderful of coures i never had a bad meal here

good food, high prices. when our chosen dinner destination was unexpectedly closed for the weekend, we drove around the strip mall for another option and settled on gio's. it was early so we were the first ones there for dinner. the atmosphere is nice, the wait staff was pleasant, and the food was very good. really my only negative was the price. this is maybe a once-a-year type expenditure for someone of my economic means. our bill was over 70.00 for the two of us and we had water for our drinks. i can prepare quality italian meals at home for a week for that much money.

great fresh italian food. wow this is the real deal much better the enrique's overgarliced over priced poor wait staff restaurant la casa della pasta. this is my go to place. and enrique you clicked you didnt "like" this place did you actually eat there i doubt it

must try this place!. my wife and i ate at gio's for the first time last night. we have had the pleasure of eating at some of the finest restaurants in paris and let me tell you that this place is fantastic. to start with, they have a fantastic wine list. the menu items are not your typical italian fare. the chef is really on his game and the staff is friendly and attentive. a must try for anyone in search of a great meal.

the food was very good. server was very attentive. however, the lighting will spoil any attempt for romance. we had the best table in the house, but were blinded by a compact fluorescent light. great way to spoil a perfect evening!

the best italian meal of my life. i think the title says it all!!! had the fetuccini pesto with shrimp and was to die for.....a place to go back every day and never get tired of it!!!

horrible experience. just had dinner at gio's with my wife and kids, the service was horrible two appetizers came out to us, wrong dish, took ten minutes to get the waiter back to make corrections( maybe they were short staffed ), but that's no excuse for the food they served us, of the four main dishes three were sub par. two dishes had jumbo shrimp, they were extremely overdone and had the consistency of rubber, the other dish was supposed to be black grouper, not only was this not black grouper it was mushy to boot! if you want to know what real black grouper tastes like go to oyster catchers. when we mentioned this to management he claimed the cook said everything was cooked just fine. huge disappointment here in my families opinion, but maybe it was a bad night, either way i'll never go back.

fabulous!! food was exquisite, great service, white tablecloths with fresh flowers, italian music softly playing, a wonderful experience.
