what rock did you crawl from under cindy. you obviously are not a food critic because the food is definatley worth the price.i drive 20 miles to eat there often and its the best italian food i found in this state. im also from ny and disagree. maybe you should get your pallet checked.

are you serious?. gianmarcos is on of my favorite restaurants in birmingham. the food is always amazing, and the wait staff is also very educated and knowledgable. i have never dealt with any rude servers on any of my experiences dining there! i have been going there at least 1x a week since they opened and have only grown to love it even more. by the way i am from the new york area as well, and there is a big difference between angel hair and spaghetti folks!

good if you like attitude with food. pompous wait staff and crowd. sadly, i quickly grew tired of the aloof wait staff and the obnoxiously staid crowd. food may be good but felt like the titanic sailing through an ice field as the evening progressed. just not a fun place even as part of the well heeled crowd.

exceptional!. wow. at the recommendation of a friend we tried this wonderful italian restaurant last night. although the place is small, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, just what you would expect from a fine restaurant with outstanding food. and, yes, the food was wonderful. reservations were necessary, so plan ahead and you will be very pleased. service was on the spot and the staff was attentive and professional. sure the prices were high (for birmingham), but well worth it. great place for a special occasion... or not. we'll be back.... and thanks to our friend for the recommendation.

consistently delicious. we have been eating here since they opened and have never had a meal that is anything other than delicious. the meals are perfectly prepared, the service is great, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. this is our first choice for a great meal in birmingham.

rude staff. the food was good but nothing great... not good enough for the $$$$ and the staff acts as if you are imposing... not going back unless someone is offering to pay bc i am definitely not paying that much for attitude and just ok food

i have heard so many amazing things about this restaurant, and couldn't wait to try it! the food was good, but not great, and certainly not worth the attitude we got from the staff. we asked for angel hair pasta, and were told that they called it spaghetti. where we are from, there is a difference! when we asked which if the two they had, we were told," we have spaghetti. this isn't inner-city new york." for what it's worth, leonardo's on rocky ridge is twice as good, and half the price.

chef table is the place to be. as you walk through the door of this rustic italian eatery, i quickly lost myself in their wonderful smells, sounds and authentic feel. their food and service are terrific for an evening out this either family or 'future' family. go, because it will be a evening well spent.
