after searching this place for quiet a few minutes and walking down the streets of amritsar i reached my destination !
the place is quiet old and must say serves very good lassi !
they do have tables to sit and gulp down the lassi !
40 rs for a full glass with lots and lots of makhan on too !
one glass and i bet you would not want to eat for hours !
do try when in amritsar !
i loved it !

for me, gian’s lassi is the best in amritsar
located in hall bazaar, it serves the lassi in two sizes of half and a full glass at very low prices
they have a small seating area as well

the drink is not too sweet or too thick (as i’ve noticed in other places that give you a sugar rush) and the best part is, they top it up with a good amount white butter and cream(malai). it is definitely high on calories & serves as a complete meal on its on.
the white butter is freshly made & i hope they start selling it separately too :d

visited the legendary gian di lassi shop in amritsar this week..went for a small glass of lassi and ended up having multiple of them.. with the soft & yummy pedas ...lassi is a perfect combination of butter milk, cream & sweetness to it ... pedas were full of mava & fresh ...
final words... must visit in amritsar.. & when you have pics of people like john torode & vikas khanna...you don't need any more certificate of authencity

this place is overrated. they served lassi that was no different then the one we had at brother's dhaba or kesar da dhabaover the bigg glass of lassi they had poot one dallop of white makkhan and a thick layer of malai.did not like the taste of makkhan in lassi personally.

if you are going to amritsar then you have to have a lassi from here. in just rs.40 you will get this big glass of lassi with this white makhan on top of it.
a little place in amritsar's lane, but absolutely amazing.
worth trying it.

gian di lassi is a popular spot for the lassi lovers. the lassi here is thick in consistency, sweetened right and also has good amount of malai in it. it is topped with a generous amount of butter. light on pocket, heavy on stomach. it's a good place to get over your thirst with a healthy drink.

their lassi is one of the best that i have ever had. the shop is a small shop but you can park your car on the road and they get the lassi to your car. they serve a tall glass of lassi which has a lot of malai and also top it with a generous spoon of butter. it just costs 40bucks for one glass. one glass is sufficient for two people and wont leave you feeling hungry for quite some time post that.

so i have heared a lot about this place from many of my friends and food bloggers. i didn't find it a must place to visit if you are in amritsar, i liked kesar da dhaba lassi more than this, quantity is good and i loved the way of serving it in a typical punjabi steel glass.

one may feel or even write that ,nothing is special about the lassi one may get here and i also agree that the lassi here is the regular, that one may get it elsewhere but i truly believe that one should visit this place for shear legendary value that this place has. though a small outlet types but the lassi here and the roasted barfi or the milk cake in pure ghee is not to be missed.

one must surely visit this place if visiting amritsar.

🔮magic potion is what you get here in the form of lassi.
lassi being very typically punjabi has a different genre here with gian di lassi, in a very small bilane of amritsar this place has made itself a cult outlet of lassi. always crowded gian di lassi is a must have if you are in amritsar. lassi topped up with in house makkhan (non pasteurised butter) is a blend of the holy city & jolly punjabis.
too heavy after a meal, drink a lassi when you are hungry & you don't ask for food for the next couple of hours.
costs 35rs each glass. almost 300ml lassi.

gian di lassi can be easily reached by searching the name in google maps. quantity of lassi is good but it lacks taste and definitely the hype. pede waali lassi is a disaster, nothing special in it, costs 70. normal lassi is 35, half glass is 20. its not stomach filling as claimed.
