ghini's french caffe'

wonderful food, wonderful people. i have been going to ghini's for years. i have always enjoyed the food and the ambience.
the fri nite event has become a favorite of many of us. i guess we're not the most exciting group since i've never seen anyone on a cellphone - talking, texting or twitting. but it's a friendly group with whom it's very easy to interact especially if you bring your dog.

the is wonderful! for those of you who think of french dining requires many sauces, certain foods being cooked in a "distinctly french" manner, ghini's is not competing with le rende vous! however this is typical street front caffé fd all over.

the food is good, fresh and made to order. i've seldom found anything but the very best, courteous staff. the small dining area is always spotless and now when the sun sets, gnini's has their misting system on for people who want to sit outside (such as those of us who bring our dogs all of whom have been on their vary best behavior.

please consider joining us for this fri's "happy hour" when they serve early evening small menu items such as escargot, paté, brie with grapes. numerous items which are not found anywhere else in town even the upper scale restaurants! the french onion soup is the best west of the alantic sea. and the prices are ooooo-la la!

dirty restaurant. this has nothing, and i mean nothing to do with french food, methodology or technique. the kitchen is dirty as is the waitstaff. yuck...

and the farthers so called bakery next door is a disgrace to anythinf remotely french.

this restaurant was not as good as i was expecting based on the reviews here. if you come in with lower expectations perhaps you will enjoy it more.

great experience!. i have eaten breakfast in just about every state in the united states as well as in europe and latin america. i've never had eggs cooked as perfectly as they did here. the food was exceptional. it is easy to tell a lot of thought and passion goes into the preparation and presentation of the food. all fresh ingredients, are used and it is reflected in the flavor. additionally, all of the staff was friendly, courteous, and had smiles on their faces. service was very good.

top-notch tucson cafe. ghini’s is one of tucson’s best restaurants, hands down. the food is top-notch and the staff is extremely friendly. the dishes they serve are spot-on culinary perfections. friday’s dinner and happy hour is great, offering nice ambiance paired with excellent food and drinks. must try dishes include prosciutto & parmesan pasta, sautéed spinach with roasted garlic & feta, and eggs provencale, just to name a few. the café’s atmosphere is quaint and the service is truly impeccable.

horrible!- do not even try!!!. went with a friend to try this place. i ordered a chicken caesar salad without croutons ( i'm gluten free). what came was a tiny little salad on a dessert plate. the lettuce was the floppy part of the romaine not the crunchy heart , the chicken was that precooked diced stuff you buy in a bag from the market. and the cheese was the kind that comes out of that "green can" kraft grated stuff. the saddest part was that the 1/2 size salad was $10.95!!! you can get a far superior salad at "sauce" down the street for a far less price. will never go back

was okay. i had high expectations because i really like the bakery. the food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. if you are looking for unique recipes and really good food you won't find it here. if you're looking for decent food and a nice atmospher it's a nice place.

will never return. we had a horrible dining experience from a - z at ghini's french caffe. there is nothing authentically french here. i have written about our dining experience accurately several times but my review keeps getting removed. in my review i wrote about the facts of our experience and a particular occurrence that happened, and my review was factual and diplomatic and i made no personal attacks, or wrote anything offensive - i just wrote about the facts of our experience, but my reviews have been suppressed. why write an honest review, if the information is going to be suppressed. there clearly is no freedom of honest reporting here. we advise strongly to skip this inauthentic french cafe at all costs.

great breakfast or brunch place. the service is slow on the outside patio but inside everything is great.

i have eaten here three times now, and ghini's consistently falls short of expectations. the menu's descriptions sound delectable and amazing, but when the food arrives it is so-so. service is slow, and the staff in general seems rather unfriendly.

cool place. the few times i've been here i had the same waitress, who is awesome so my customer service experience has been good. the food was good, not fantastic, but good. i keep going there because it's a cool place to eat out at....lots of ambience.

this so called "french cafe", is highly overated. there is very little authentic french food on the menu. it's more of a wannabe europe meets american sw/californian restaurant. they should omit the word french in their name, then it would not be deceiving.

love it!. we love this authentic french cafe in tucson. great for breakfast and lunch. our favorites are the eggs provencale and any of the omelets. this is a garlic lover's paradise! the outside seating is some of the best in a town known for outdoor dining. we appreciate that they welcome well-behaved dogs on their patio!
