i have loved the food, people and inviting atmosphere of this restaurant for 20 years! the food is consistently awesome as is the service! i hope to dine here for 20 more years!

i love this place it's my home away from home the food's always fantastic the service is always rocking and the grapes are ridiculous
and you gotta save room for dessert

absolutely the best place to eat in monroe! wonderful wine selection. try whatever they have on special, always amazing. be sure to ask for some warm bread...heaven.

this a monroe staple. so stop going to olive garden and eating crappy fake italian and eat here or at geno's. great atmosphere and normally good food and service. eat local, it's always better

was so excited to see that they deliver considering i'm not from the area and my be and u are sick in our hotel right now... to my surprise wheni called the nervous sounding young boy on the phone aid they were too busy and couldn't afford to lose anybody in house for a delivery!!! well then i guess you can afford to lose my business and big fat tip!! sincerely , pasta lover;)

their version of a caprese salad was excellent. everything else just seemed sort of so-so, especially when you consider the price. the service was sub par. we will probably give it another try but so far monroe seriously lacks in the areas of good italian food.

staying the course. this is a place where i know what is in store- the best appetizers i've ever had (my wife often makes a meal from the portabello, or stuffed artichokes) we brought a friend from new orleans and as soon as the first bite hit his tongue i saw him glow and say " i know this will be a good experience". while some portions (entrees) are not huge and some people may not consider them a value, i consider there quality and consistency what makes up for that. it's a must and i hope they make it through all the new competition. romantic too!

i don't think i have eaten anything fresh here except the salads. big deal, you made a salad!

traditionally delicious!!!!. i honestly don't know how this place got a bad review. we have been eating at genusa's since i was a child and it has always been great! on busy nights, the food may come out a little slower but the vino flows freely and the atmosphere can't be beat! warm and lo-lit, this place is by far the best place to bring a date. besides, it's run by a family and the servers treat each customer as if they are a member of the family also! trust me, you are doing yourself a disservice if you miss out on the chance to experience genusa's for yourself!!!

what a mess. reception was horrible. woman seated behind stacks of papers. she told us there would be a 15 minute wait. we went to the bar and noticed only 13 people in the entire restaurant. we had a glass of overly expensive merlot and was seated in 5 minutes. my veal was not edible.....tasted like it was cooked yesterday and my friends pasta was soggy and very salty. $92 down the drain. horrible..

fabulous!. i went to genusa's a few weeks ago with a boisterous party of 6. we had a few bottles of wine, ordered some appetizers, and had salads and entrees. everything that came out of that kitchen was perfect. i read some poor reviews on urbanspoon beforehand and expected to be disappointed, but it was great. it certainly did not taste like campbell's soup or stouffer's lasagna. we had a great experience and will be back.
