my boyfriend and i came for their wood-fire baked pizza after he raved about it and insisted i try it while we were in town. he got the american pizza while i chose spicy pepperoni. we took a spot out on the closed patio, which was a little cold and the booth side was uncomfortable with the cold back, so we switched to the chairs and enjoyed watching the cars through the window. we didn't wait very long before a guy brought out our pizza, and my boyfriend watched on excitedly as i took my first bites. and i gotta say, he was right. the crust was crispy, but not hard. the spicy pepperoni was delicious, and the sauce was absolutely to die for. i ate 3/4 of my 11" pizza, experimenting with their crushed pepper infused oil along the way, which was awesome. his pizza had big, thick slices of sausage on it which was also very very good. i had wood-fire baked pizza once before and wasn't too crazy about it, but this was awesome. we also had the gelato afterwards. the girls behind the counter weren't super friendly. one of them was just talking to the nicer girl while she let us try some different flavors and didn't really say anything to us, which seemed kind of rude. the other one was more helpful and told us which flavors weregoodas she picked them. i tried mango and peach before settling on the new york cheesecake, and my boyfriend tried peanut butter and chose the cookies n' cream. i didn't like the fruit flavors i had tried, but the cheesecake was awesome. peanut butter and cookies and cream were both really good, too. and we both liked the cookies that they came with. going back up to scottsdale this week, and will definitely make a stop here for the amazing pizza. we both highly recommend it!
