sandringham just got put on the map thanks to this small opening which happened nearly a month ago now.
a bit of a drive out from the centre of city but completely worth it, geeks on sainsbury is a clean and bright little store situated at the end of sainsbury road.
tom hong (ex-barista from dear jervois) has relocated and is impressing once again with strong and smooth coffee.
being a red rabbit coffee specialist the coffee doesn't disappoint but thats not the only special item on their menu.
from waffles to burgers this hipster haven serves as sandringham's newest eatery. featuring auckland favourites such as best ugly bagels, there is something on the menu to excite everyone. for me this was a burger. but not just any burger. their beef burger is constructed with caramelised onion and a house made chutney which made it winner for me.
perfect for the summer months - as it opens up to a small neighbourhood reserve - this space is going to be a popular choice with locals and coffee snobs (like myself).
