a month ago i was driving down to surat from bombay to attend a family function and was looking for aniceplace to chill at with family and friends.
that’s when i came across “gate to goa”.

so basically what i heard from the locals was that this used to be a villa kinda place which was later converted into a multi-cuisine restaurant

the ambiance at this place is quite cozy and comfy.
they’ve got indoor seating as well as outdoor seating and for special occasions, they’ve also got a tepee on the terrace for a candlelight dinner kinda experience.

what we ordered :

1. chicken manchow soup
classic chicken soup done right.

2. chicken chenab creamy tikka
succulent and creamy pieces of chicken tikka pan tossed in creamy white gravy.

3. chicken lahori tikka
chicken kebab marinated in a green medium spicy marinade.

4. chicken biryani
chicken biryani cooked in the traditional punjabi kukkad style.

5. mac and cheese pasta
perfectly baked mac and cheese pasta in cheesy white sauce.

i really liked the food served at this outlet and i’ll recommend y’all to visit this outlet if y’all are looking for aniceplace to chill with family and friends.

go to this place only for the ambience. the food is average at best and quite overpriced for the taste. the quantity isnicethough. we had ordered quesadillas and garlic noodles. i would want to go again for the ambience and to try the coffee that they serve there. do go there for the ambience though.

it's an old bungalow that has been turned into a cafe. they have a few smaller restaurants downstairs which serve food and a smoking area upstairs.

they also have beautiful swings upstairs which would be ideal if you're visiting with your s/o.

the lights are beautiful and it does give out a vibe which makes you feel like you're in goa. except the liquor obviously. 😂

ps. they don't accept card as of now. they accept payment either by cash or paytm.
