we went for breakfast. the food was great, but it took a while for our food to arrive. we met the owners of the restaurant, who were very friendly as was the staff. we will definitely be back on a future visit to nashville!

germantown cafe - dinner. we were visiting from georgia. we had dinner sunday at 5pm and it was wonderful. we started out with some drinks; lemon drop, washington state martini, and a pomegranate martini. yum.
the main courses were varied, from plum potk, shrimp pasta, new orleans shrimp, and pan seared trout. everything was very good and our waiter was very good too. a good time for all!

epic brunch fail! we waited an hour for a table, then 20 minutes for a server to greet us and take our order. not even so much as a, " were sorry for your wait". i will never return. who cares how tasty the food is when they could care less about their patrons.

food was excellent. steak was a little rarer than what i expected it to be cooked. the cinnamon french toast was my favorite and would be my go to next time.

this is one of nashville’s many hidden gems. the family owned and operated cafe is open for 3 days (fri-sun) at 5hrs each (9-2) which means you’d better get there early to avoid the line that forms rather quickly. brunch consisted blackened fish & grits, meat lovers omelette and a couple of spongebob (pineapple) mimosas. everything was prepared perfectly. i highly recommend giving this cafe a visit when coming to the area.

brittany immediately suggested the garden brunch cafe as soon as she caught word that i was coming to nashville. not one of the more iconic nashville eateries i was going for, but a hidden gem she insisted.the garden brunch cafe is open only on friday, saturday and sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. no reservations. and, the cafe focuses on fresh, seasonal produce.

this is a great find in nashville! we had a wonderful brunch.  the place was very busy but we didn't have to wait too long for a table.  my friend and i ordered a bloody mary to start off our brunch.  it was interesting because they use sake instead of vodka.  it was good.  i tried the steak and eggs and i really liked it.  the steak was tender and i love scrambled eggs (plus cheese).  this dish also came with pancakes and potatoes! it was a lot of food.   my friend had the germantown west benny and she said it was fabulous too.  we really enjoyed the atmosphere and i would love to go back and try some other menu items.  our service was great too!

terrible customer service.the banana foster pancakes are made with rum...although the menu doesn't state such.i spoke to the co-owner about the fact that i was unaware that the banana foster pancakes were made with rum being that my waiter never mentioned it and it wasn't on the menu. per the menu:banana foster pancakes:'a stack of pancakes covered with sauteed caramelized bananas and walnut in a rich buttery sauce, topped with whipped cream. you’ll say ‘wow’!' do you see rum any where in the description? when i told the co-owner about it, she never once apologized for her company's negligence. she made it seem like it was up to me to know that it had rum in it. she told me that 'in new orleans, banana fosters are made with rum.' she even went on to say that she's been at the restaurant location for 6 years, my waiter should've explained it to me that it had rum in it, how the rum was supposed to be 'cooked' out, all the while ignoring the fact that i told her i could taste the rum in it. i told her what if i were pregnant and she got even more defensive. one would think that by the long wait time to be seated, the long wait time to get your order taken when you're finally seated, the long wait time to get some damn breakfast food, she would've displayed better customer service, but no.i was sorely disappointed and i won't be returning and i won't recommend this place to anyone else again.

you will wait a little bit to be seated, but that is typical of a good nashville brunch spot. i love this place! the food is always delicious and the staff is always so sweet.

worth the wait!!!. by far the best brunch i have ever had and easily ranks among the top 3 restaunts in nashville. no sauces required and i could cut my steak with a fork. generous military discount. service was awesome and friendly. parking is bad but a small price to pay for the lovely experience!
