this is the second time we have dined here. we had an excellent meal, all dishes very well presented and very enjoyable.

service was generally fine but not quite at the level to be expected at arestaurantof this quality. serving staff seemed to be rushed and a bit distracted, not sure if this was because of a large group who sat down for their meal about 30 minutes after we started.

however, this does not take anything away from the overall quality of the meal and i would happily return again when in the city.

seafood lover. terrible food, overpriced and horrible atmosphere. very disappointing after reading some great reviews. will never return and suggest others think twice before splashing a lot of cash on a mediocre at best restaurant.

come on glasgow!!!!. the best fishrestaurantin glasgow wtf this place is total garbage!! if this is the best glasgow has to offer then there is something definitely fishy going on! therestaurantsoloists to pride it's self on fresh fish what a bloody joke that is! we where served over priced sashimi which was tough off colour and even leathery in texture on yeah and served kinda fancy what a rip off! the decor was cheap and had a sweaty chip shop feel, the smell when you walk in was even a bit off ! the oysters where shucked very poorly andnwe where spitting out shell for 5min. then things got progressively worse i opted for the steak for a main and they even managed to stuff that up! it was poorly cooked with a piss sauce! my partners main was served in a silly wee bag again with a bloody awful sauce! and the sides of chips and veg where bloody raw! save your pennies glasgow buy a fish supper somewhere and take it home with a nice bottle do not ever go to this pathetic excuse for a restaurant!!! shame shame shame glasgow you would get fresher fish out the clyde!!!

extraordinarily good seafood. gamba is one of those restaurants that has been so good for so long that it is really easy to overlook it's virtues. for 11 years it has been arguably the best seafoodrestaurantin glasgow. the food isn't cheap, but it so beautifully prepared & professionally served that it seems churlish to complain. the fish is lovingly treated and never overpowered by the accompanying sauces. i have never been disappointed by the desserts (always the highpoint of a meal for me) & my wife rates the fish soup as being the finest she has ever tasted.
