since i went for the burger, here is my burger-specific review! 

meat 5 / 10
i must admit, the meat wasn't the greatest. it unfortunately did not have much flavor and was also a little on the dry side. 

bun – 8 / 10
probably the best part of the burger. perfect size and tasted fresh. 

burger : bun ration – 7 / 10
pretty close to 1:1 ratio which is the idea ratio. this category checks out!

toppings – 5 / 10
similar to the meat, the toppings also lacked flavor. ):

condiments – 5 / 10
standard condiments, nothing particularly special or tasty. 

logistics – 7 / 10
overall, the burger wasn't totally difficult. i had to fold the lettuce in half because there was a lot of lettuce that came on the burger! it started to fall apart at the end, but overall, not terrible in the logistic department. 

fries – 5/10
good size andgoodlevel of crispy, but similar to the meat and toppings, the fries just really lacked flavor. 

there was potential with this burger but overall, it was just very, very bland!

mothra says....good food,goodbeer.. a couple of weeks backs after a rather long trip west on 84, k and i pulled into hood river for a lunch and a rest. although almost back home to portland, there is always an excuse to stop at full sail pub & brewery for lunch.

we took the brew tour for the first time and i want you to know, that there is a full sail pint glass awaiting you at the end of the tour. it's agoodtour and i recommend it….. but, i know what you are thinking… that a pound of hops looks just like a pound of….. well you know; i've driven past humboldt county.there was a 40 minute wait for a table and after the 35 min tour; we were seated outside on a blustery cool but sunny day. there is only about a dozen tables outside and they are in demand, so be prepared. our server was pleasant and quick as she had probably 6-8 tables and did not want to pfoot around. i am ok with that. k ordered a sav blanc and i had a full sail pale ale on tap. wow. reallygoodon tap and where it was born. what would homer and mo say? they would never leave.

after ordering a hummus plate, just really light and fresh and enough to get us to our entrees which arrived about 25 minutes later, k's fish sandwich with fresh cole slaw arrived. it was hot to the touch. me, i ordered the fish and chips, which came with piping hot fries and a salad. the wait was worth it. i ordered another beer and while we ate lunch, a number of entrees at adjacent tables walked by and looked delicious: the reuben (as you know, one of my favs but i just have to move on), and the pulled pork sandwich which looked de-lish.we sat and sipped for a while after lunch with coffee and watched the river go by.

on our way out, we purchased two 12 packs of "session" beer for home. mmmmmm. you can buy it at little freddies if you are lucky, but best if you pick it up at the mother ship. why not?...a staple when in hood river. mothra says… 3.4 of 5.0

the best of both worlds!. great views of the columbia grace this brewhouse that delighted us with its ipa and food (i had the sumptuous crater lake burger and my wife enjoyed her rather expensive fish and chips).

ahh, thegoodbeer is a great draw!

we decided to stop at full sail brewing while doing a mt. hood road trip. this was the hallway point, and was the perfect place to fuel back up before getting out into the wilderness. i went with a flight, and fell in love with the watermelon beer. burgers weregoodtoo. service sucked, but the beer made it less noticeable. the views were gorgeous. even picked up a hat and a shirt. the gift shop threw in tons of freebies like stickers and such. i hope to come back again!

verygoodlocation as you can either sit outside or inside and have agoodview of the columbia gorge. we were seated promptly chose to sit outside, which was great.goodselection of brews and menu had lots of options. had the beer cheese soup, the beet salad, chicken fajita sandwich and the thai chicken wrap and everything was delicious. only issue was that one of the salads came without the requested dressing and one server claimed it was already mixed in. when our server came to check in on us, he said the salad had no dressing and got us some. overall, service was pretty good. verygoodexperience.

the menu is not very extensive or creative, but everything is prepared fresh from local ingredients and served with wonderful care and presentation. i went with the barbecued ribs. and though they were slightly undercooked (they did not separate easily enough), the barbeque sauce used was fantastic. it featured chunks of peppers and onions, which i love in a barbeque sauce. also accompanying the dish was a mustard-based potato salad that was decent and a fantastic coleslaw that had to have had some sort of apples in it. for dessert, a stout brownie with a lump of vanilla ice cream is the only option, but it’s agoodone. not the best i’ve had, but well worth the calories every time.

had the steak sandwich and gina had the hummus plate and beer cheese soup. all verygoodand we are stuffed! very nice.

must stop in if nearby. having had their brews back home we had to stop in after finding this one on trip advisor and then checking here.

cool little town which actually would be a great two day weekend getaway with hotels and scenery along with enough other things to do as well.

lucky we got in the place just after noon on a saturday as when we left there was a huge waiting list.

had a quaint four top near the windows and they pack you in pretty tight. ordered a few brews.....amber, two pales that were only available on site and a wassail seasonal. all were top notch although the wassail the most distinct. for me all had a bitter note toward ipa which is not my pref but.....

the food was very good. gastropub fits here. artichoke dip with hot pita, foccacia bread, cup of the beer cheese soup, couple of great salads and a burger with onion and smoked gouda. dip was sogoodwe asked in vain for the recipe, the soup was bread sopping rich and cheesey, the salads varied with beets, pecans, bleu and more. partner liked the burger too.

would like to name a fave but alas cannot do so on one visit alone. that would be like saying your favorite rock group is the doobie brothers based on hearing long train running only once.

agoodway to taste full sails variety of beers as we did is to try the "sampler" of beers.goodfood with a fantastic window view of the columbia river.

so glad we spooned. we are on a road trip, came into hood river hungry and spooned. so glad we did because it led us to full sail. we had a 20 minute wait in the hall and were seated outside with a dyno view of all the kite boarders. great, accomodating service, excellent barley pops and i had a scrumptious ruben. the rest of the menu lookedgoodtoo. should i ever be passing thru, this will be a mandatory stop.

the best restaurant in the gorge. this place is fantastic. you'll never taste fresher beer. hey you can have dessert made with beer.

how could you not like that?

this service is amazing. our waitress matched a very intellectual wit with agoodpersonality. when you can remember your waitress two years later you know that she did agoodjob.

the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

if you get there at the right time you can take a tour of the brewery.

i will be eating here a lot.

got the sample platter of beers, which is seven, four once beers. great choice. and had the sausage pasta. it was very good. and the outside seating on the deck overlooking the columbia was fantastic. go here. also we had verygoodservice.

go for the beer! food isgoodbut nothing to write home about. beer, view and atmosphere is worth all of it and then some. one of my favorite deck spots in hood river!
