lunch 5/1/2015. menu we sampled: wedge salad with chicken, seared crab cakes, and seared ahi tuna.
wedge salad with chicken was ok but needed more tomato's, red onion's, and cheese.
seared ahi tuna portions was to small for the money and was not seared properly, should have been rolled in sesame seeds and seared on a good hot griddle.
seared crab cakes made me wonder where's the crab? cakes are to loose and over seasoned.
if outback steakhouse was a seven fulbelli's would be a three, they really need a trained chief instead of a cook.

we went to eat here last night for the first time and it was an excellent dining experience. we started with the risotto and mozzarella cheese balls which we actually didn't care for. reading back my review at this point is pretty hilarious, but it gets better i promise. someone brought bread to our table (rolls to be exact) but instead of just putting them on the table, the guy placed one each on our small plates, which i thought was odd. the rolls were really good though. my partner and oldest son ordered french onion soup which they loved. i pretty much only eat chicken and unfortunately they only had one chicken meal; chicken picatta, so i ordered that but subbed my asparagus for grilled zucchini and squash. my youngest son ordered chicken strips and french fries (even though we didn't see that on the menu), my oldest son and partner each ordered the grass fed filet with asparagus. the filets were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. the asparagus wasn't the best asparagus they've had but no biggie. my youngest son's chicken strips looked so good i tried them and so did my partner and wow, they are amazing!!! he loved his meal! my chicken picatta was good, but i wish the chicken had more flavor, would be good if it were grilled! my parmesan mashed potatoes were incredible! so, we had seen someone getting desserts and they bring a tray of them over for you to look at. we were told that they are all made in-house and they looked incredible. my sons decided to get the peanut butter ganache and split it. my partner decided on the chocolate cake and had it split so i could take half of it home. when they brought the desserts to us they brought the ganache to both of my boys and the plating was beautiful! but we thought they didn't split it, that they brought them each one, however, when we asked our waitress she said that was one piece split...the pieces were still big! my partner said the chocolate cake was out of this world. she had ordered a cup of coffee as well and she said it was reminiscent of great coffee house coffee. we loved the relaxing and peaceful environment, the friendly staff, and the wonderful 40's jazz style music playing. if i could change anything, i'd have more appetizers that don't include seafood or fish, and i'd have a couple other vegetarian or chicken dishes for people like me! would definitely recommend.

we enjoyed a delightful forty-second anniversary dinner here. the wedge salads were crisp, and the waitress arranged for substitutions for blue cheese for my husband. we both also ordered salmon which was nicely grilled and topped with a maple glaze that was not too sweet. my cheese cake was certainly creamy and rich,; the crust was layered with sliced almonds. fresh fruit would have been a nice touch. service was friendly. the chef, attentive.

good downtown sherman food. if you are in old downtown sherman you will not find many eating establishments. this one had some good reviews on trip advisor , thus we chose this one for lunch. there is no restaurant parking, thus you must park on the street somewhere around the courthouse square which allows for three hours free parking. the restaurant is located on the second floor of an old building which may have been an antique mall at one time. there are several offices and small shops located within the building.

the stairs are not all that great in getting to the second floor, so be careful. we were immediately seated, as there were only five customers in the entire dining room. our first impression---we may have made a mistake and can those trip advisor reviews be trusted?

we had a very nice waitress that explained the menu and the specials for the day. we opted for two menu items. the grilled salmon was served with mashed potatoes and stir-fried flesh vegetables. the salmon came out on a large plate with the potatoes and vegetables and was grilled just right. the flavor of the fish was accented by a seasoning placed on top. the stir fried fresh vegetables were actually zucchini, red and yellow peppers and squash. each vegetable had been cut into small one inch pieces and seasoned in a small amount of oil. the veggies were delicious, as were the mashed potatoes. they do not offer bread and a salad is extra, so we passed on that.

the other order was grilled shrimp, fresh vegetables and rice. the five grilled shrimp were small to medium in size however adequate for lunch. they were good, but probably not worth the $12.50 lunch meal charge. there was seasoning on the shrimp, which was very tasty. the rice was presented in a large “mound” and it was just rice. i would added some color to the rice, perhaps wild rice, etc., so the presentation would have looked better. the fresh veggies were excellent as they had a delicate seasoning and were stir fired in light oil. in fact some of the best stir fired fresh vegetables we have eaten.

the pricing for the five entrees ran about $12.50 each and those entrees come with absolutely nothing. we had water to drink and the glass was kept filled.

after about 15 minutes the restaurant begin to fill and by the time we left there were only two empty tables. the menu is rather limited for lunch and for a small town the prices are high. there was a special of the day, a stuffed hamburger, for $8.75. i did not see that many coming out of the kitchen . what i did see was a lot of salads which were being served on a large plate and with a lot of greens plus a topping such as salmon and this was actually priced at less than the entrée prices. i think the next time i will have one of those salads.

the waiter service was excellent. the restrooms are located on the third floor in a rather non-descript area that appears be for storage. they were not all that inviting and climbing that extra set of stairs was not that exciting.

there was dinner menu at the front door with a lot more entrees and the prices seem to be about double the lunch prices.

my wife and i tried fulbelli's for the first time last night. i'll be honest. we aren't used to dining so fancy, so we were a little uncomfortable at first. our server was great and we started to relax. i had the chilean sea bass which was the special for the evening. it was fantastic! my wife had the pan seared duck and she said it was great. we will definitely be coming back.

unbelievable service!. my girlfriend and i went out on a limb for our one year anniversary and boy were we surprised. the owner/head cook had stopped in my place of work a few years ago and invited me to try out his new business. to be honest it completely slipped my mind until recently, but the reviews on urbanspoon perked my interest again. between the amazing service and four star quality food we couldn't have been happier. i recommend this to anyone seeking a night out without the drive to a high end restaurant in dallas. we will be back.

my favorite restaurant in this area. some of my favorite items so far are the calamari, blue cheese chips, eggs benedict over crab cakes, chocolate cake but everything i get there is fabulous. i am a picky diner as i am known by many to be an excellent cook. we also go to upscale restaurants frequently. i also give $100 gift cards to my clients very often. they love that surprise!

can't go wrong with fulbelli's. despite the funny name, this is an elegant, upscale restaurant with great food, great atmosphere, great people and great owners. the chef is also co-owner and he is very passionate, talented and creative. he loves his work and it shows in his food. i highly recommend you try fulbelli's......the nicest place to eat for 40 miles in all directions around sherman, tx.

amazing!. phenomenal! we went here for my husband's birthday, and everything was delicious! can't wait to go back!

- the fresh bread was warm, and the butter was room temperature and soft, so you didn't demolish your bread trying to butter it!

- for an appetizer, we got the arancini with white truffle oil. it was very well cooked, and the marinara sauce was very flavorful.

- i ordered the k bar k pasture fed pork chop for dinner, which was terrific! i ordered it medium, and it was cooked perfectly, as well as seasoned perfectly. so scrumptious, i was tempted to pick up the bone and chew on it! the pork chop was served with a blackberry jalapeno sauce on the side. the sauce was really unique and tasty, but i thought the pork chop was so perfect on its own, i chose not to use the sauce for the pork chop! (i dunked some bread in the sauce!) the mashed potatoes that came with the pork chop were also spectacular. they were very firm and delicious.

-we were too full for dessert, but with the check, the waiter brought out two little pumpkin spice tartlets that were sheer yumminess. the cream in them was so whippy and fabulous.

really delicious. a much needed restaurant for the area. so many chains and fast food joints, blech. this place is a stand-out star!

nice dinner. went with some friends for a nice dinner. i was a little leary about going considering some of the reviews on urbanspoon, but our meals were delicious! they may have had a rough start, bit i think they are doing great now! so glad we ventured out and tried it! we had a reservation, and started with cocktails in the piano bar lounge. that was nice to have before you all sit down. the atmosphere is nice and i thought the wait staff were all very helpful and professional. i had the pork osso bucco, which was delicious, a bit overwhelming in size, :) but everything about the meal was delicious! if you like slow roasted, falling of the bone pork you will like this choice. everyone else got fish dishes, and i tried the tuna, raw ,and it was good as well. we all enjoyed our meals and wine. i would definitely give this place a try for a nice dinner out, whether it is for a romantic evening or a nice get together with friends and family. the waiter and the owners were very nice and continued to check on us and provide us with anything we needed. i will be back! i recommend if you are looking for a nice dinner in texoma, try fulbelli's. it's a very welcome and much needed addition to have as an alternate to all the chain restaurants.

food was very disappointing. the asparagus and potato soup was disgustingly thick and tasted terrible. very unattractive. the trio sald was okay with the exception of the bland shrimp salad. the pasta salad was the tastiest of the three. the grilled vegetable sandwich was too oily with little flavor. the service was great.

lovely restaurant that does have an elevator. good soup and sandwiches. excellent service. chef is from truluck's in dallas and it shows. a little pricey but worth it in quality.

birthday dinner fail. family all got together for mom's birthday dinner and in light of the rave reviews, we had high expectations. we were so disappointed. i am originally from the sher/den area, so i was really excited to hear that sherman finally had a decent place for upscale dining.... i was wrong. our steaks were not prepared to order (ordered them med-well and 2 of the 4 were completely raw)....the rest of our meal (salads, vegetables, and bread) were unremarkable, at best. in light of this, i will say that the service we received was very good, and the atmosphere was "comfy"...but for the price, i would much rather stick with the dallas area.

if you enjoy great food then come here. moving to texoma a couple years ago we had a hard time finding quality homemade food. most all the chains are warming up ben e keith stuff or crud made at and sent from corporate. with the owners vast professional seafood experience it shows in all their dishes and in the way they take care of their customers. we have never had a meal we didn't love and we take friends and family. understood that it is not for everyone, and it sure could be, as lunch is a great option too and a bit less expensive. locally owned and operated this is one of those businesses that is easy to support on a regular basis. vegetarian choices available also. great food, great atmosphere and great service-what's not to like!?!
