very good food. let me start by saying i am a meat eater by nature. this, however, was very very good. i had the eggplant with basil in a garlic sauce and brown rice on the side. the tofu wasn't bad but didn't add to the dish and would not have been missed. the brown rice was dry by itself but when i forked the eggplant over it the flavors were correct. the taste overall was very good and i'm anxious to gobackwith friends so we can try the other dishes.
i saw some of the reviews remarking that the price was high. i don't understand that. the prices seemed consistent with other restaurants.
i had lunch there and had the carrot cake for dessert which, although i know wasn't made there, was very good (and better than most places) nonetheless.
service was mixed. the restaurant never had more than 5 tables going and there was one waiter and a busboy. i didn't quite understand why service (as in taking my order; checking on water/coffee and bringing my check; etc.) was so slow. they were nice but this type of work seemed to be new to both of them.
