fun atmosphere & great burrito. freebird is a hog ridin' guitar playing kind of place. the decor is great with a statue of liberty riding a hog hanging from the ceiling. the ice tea sweet or unsweet is marked with a happy or mean face of mr. t. the atmosphere is great. there are four tortillas (flour, cayenne, spinach & wheat) in three sizes (hybrid, freebird, & monster). you fill the burrito anyway you want sort of like chipotle or qdoba. the burrito tasted great, so did the chocolate brownie. it is a little pricey, but still a huge thumbs up!

i'm not really into burritos, so i ordered a chicken bowl. i wasn't the biggest fan, but i'm willing to try some other items. the service was fast and friendly. i like the amount of space and other neat things around the interior.

user reviews. freebird has always been one of my alltime favorites, i just love their burritos, their choices, and especially the death sauce (a very spicy sauce). i love to go here and always will.

i always have a good experience here. i like it better then chipolte personally. they have more variety, you can choose your tortilla & white or dark meat if you get chicken. the lime juice is a nice touch! the beat part is that they have a half bird size, because if you're a small woman then you know how frustrating it's to do battle with a giant burrito!

hands down, best burrito in town. i guess the competition really comes down to chipolte, but let's be honest, that really isn't much competition. is it? really?

even if the line is nearly out the door, you won't starve while waiting. freebird's generally runs like a well-oiled machine as one person takes your burrito from conception to birth. the meat is always tender and well seasoned, though i can only speak for chicken and beef - i haven't tried the carnitas. the toppings are fresh and varied - including grilled veggies, pico, salsas, queso, guacamole, etc etc etc. compared to brand x, the freebird burrito is stuffed with meat and toppings, then accented with rice. brand x likes to fill the burrito with rice then accent that with meat and toppings. it's cheaper that way, but they charge you more - go figure. the freebird is then tightly rolled and double-wrapped so it doesn't disintegrate in your lap. it's just better all-around.

oh, and speaking of guacamole, freebird's won't tear your wallet a new hole when you add it - it's just a little bit extra instead of almost $2 more.

to top it all off, the place has personality and the employees are helpful and enthusiastic. try saying that about your sterile neighborhood chipolte.

so there... freebird's: best burrito in dallas.

update: i tried the carnitas tacos the other day, and they were a sloppy little plate of heaven. thumbs up!!!

yeah i gotta say i prefer quality over quantity, and the quality of their ingredients is ok, but nothing compared to chipotle. chipotle is much tastier and filling as well. freebirds is filling but that's about it for me at least.

best burritos ever. not only is this place better than chipotle, but it far surpasses any other burrito in texas. it is far less saltier than chipotle and has better quality meat and vegetables. the atmosphere is great and the foil decorations are awesome.

not better than chipotle!. decided to finally go here after several people said it was better than chipotle. lies! it wasn't too bad, but its no chipotle. it is cool how they have those giant burritos though. tastes kind of like a homemade burrito, which would be ok, if i was at home. chipotle for the win.

excellent.. running an errand in dallas, i wanted to stop by for lunch. as i've never had it before, the line looked as if it would take forever, but was worth the short wait of less than 15 minutes. the place was pretty packed (it was nearly 1pm) until i got my quesadilla. i wasn't feeling too burrito-ish at the time, but it was delicious. fresh food, nice atmosphere, and friendly, affable service. small talk goes a long way with me. i even got to make a foil creation of my own. great place.
