terrible. probably the worst muesli i've ever eaten. was like glue, and rubber mixed with slop. i had one bite and stopped eating it. i told the waiter the food was awful- she said i will tell the chef. there was no follow up or offer to make it again or. the staff just didn't acknowledge my feedback and let me walk out the door.

consistently excellent. frankies has the best fish and chips in canberra and excellent burgers and pizzas. portions are generous and service faultless. plus they have white rabbit and kosy pale ale on tap.

consistently great. had a great brekky on sunday at frankies. the coffee was fantastic, my eggs benedict was to die for- but most importantly the service was excellent.
well done team! now on to try the great beer range and dinner menu.

terrible breakfast - would not return. we went based on a web recommendation only to be sorely disappointed. the food arrived within minutes of ordering, way before the coffee, a foreboding sign. the breakfasts had been assembled from pre cooked ingredients. they were semi cold, limp and tasted terrible. on leaving we saw three 'cooks' in the kitchen so its not like they couldn't produce freshly cooked eggs and bacon...its just lazy. it was awful. wouldn't return. ..ever.

great venue. our son had his 21st there in october 2014. we were well looked after, the bar snacks were great, service fine and a good range of beers.

we tried out the breakfast menu at frankies this morning and were not disappointed.

the place to be. frankies is superior to anything that tusmos had going for it.

for a start the coffee and food taste a hell of a lot better. the guys running the place are happy to talk to the customers more than could be said for the previous business owners.

there is a great range of food to select from although the servings are a bit on the small size. there is also a great range of on tap and bottled beer to keep most drinkers happy as well as a wide variety of wines.

my only issue is they stop doing coffee at about 02:30pm on sunday afternoons, so if you're walking the dog you need to select booze over coffee after that time.

overall this is the place to be and whatever you have you will be impressed

tusmo lovers, this doesn't disappoint!. i was a big fan of tusmo, the establishment formerly in this location, and so had some reservations about trying its replacement. thankfully, i was not disappointed!
the decor is modern, warm and welcoming - a completely new look. service was fabulous and friendly. no pretensions, just genuinely nice people willing to help. it was quick too, even considering that it was a busy sunday morning.
my husband and i had the salmon rosti stack which was delicious. the sour cream based sauce was good - not great - but certainly didn't spoil the dish. very yummy and considerably light considering the fried potato.
a bit pricey but no more so than other brunch places. menu was limited and i probably would have liked a few more options but, that being said, there were enough savoury and sweet options to make the decision easy which was nice for a change.

would definitely go there again, even with my toddler and baby. family friendly but book ahead so they can reserve you some space.

fantastic food, superb service, amazing atmosphere. this new look forde local is outstanding and has come in leaps and bounds since its predecessor. owners joel, mark and ben provide an amazing front of house experience while jesse and the team continue to pump out incredible food from the kitchen. the refurb is awesome also - providing a funky pub / restaurant vibe whilst also proving to be unexpectedly educational in relation to australian politics in 1945! and the cocktails rock!

vast improvement. we are just a short 15 minute walk to the forde shops and the previous place to have a drink was never quite up to the mark although it had nice coffee, so it was disappointing given it's location. so when frankies opened up we thought, given its location, we would give it another go in the hope there was improvement. we are so glad we did because the improvement in the major three...food, atmosphere, and service...is outstanding. the new owners are friendly and very welcoming and we now go there often and are happy to call frankies our 'local'.

perfect brew. love walking down to frankie's the service is always friendly the coffee is great
and the fit out looks awesome. iooking forward to having breakfast there in the near future.

have eaten at frankies several times now. the food and service have been excellent and very consistent. the owners are friendly and very focused on their customers.
