i love the food, and i don't find the place expensive at all. two courses are enough to feed 5 people and still have us walk out completely full.
the staff is friendly, without being annoying, and very competent.

bad customer service. i made a reservation for mother's day.....going off of previous reviews of this restaurant...i came in and my name wasn't in the system...the girls were rude..i waited over an hr....won't recommend coming here

met a friend for dinner at the restaurant. the host was friendly and offered water, as it was an extremely hot day as i waited. the waiter reviewed the menu and specials to help us make a dinner choice. the experience was favorable. we will return again.

very good restaurant. the food was great and the waiters were fantastic. you never feel rushed and they were very attentive. the decor of the restaurant was very nice slightly fancy but casual. the desserts were excellent as well. from my experience i would defiantely recommend this restaurant. it is a little pricey but with the service and amount of food you get it's worth it.

 for father's day this year we decided that newark was a good in between spot to meet, plus they have some hidden spanish & portuguese restaurants that we wanted to try. since it was ultimately dad's choice, he picked fornos of spain . i would have preferred an nyc spot but i will save that for daughter's day. upon sitting they gave us these amazing homemade potato chips (that i forgot to take a pic of - sorry). they were thickly sliced, a mixture a crunch and soft and apparently gluten-free (they are fired in their own fryer). mmm-azing. that wasn't they only freebie we got. they also put a basket of garlic bread, a small bowl of olives, and a large plate of salad:  however, free means nothing when you have to wait an hour for your entrees (just saying). they also gave some green beans for the table with our meals, which were: pollo al ajillo (chicken in garlic sauce):  this wasn't my dish but it looked pretty good. i didn't bother asking if it was gf because i had enough food to ni

forno's defines ferry street. if you want a real ironbound experience it has to be forno's

very classy & delicious food. fancy place with plenty of staff, some waiters are a little rude mainly the elders taking the orders. food was a bit expensive but big portions, nice decor and good service make up for it. definitely a place to try a couple of times, at least once.

service great...food not so much... great service and drinks, premade paella and old seafood? what happened here? this place was the ultimate for spanish food. sorry but your priceas and poor food have driven us away...

not impressed. the food is much better at casa vasca and some of the other smaller places

best paella. one of the best portugese restaurants in newark...love their seafood and paella...do not even have to order appetizers since the portions are large...meals already include bread, salad, rice, vegetables, and the best potatoes.
