we dine here two three times a year, always nice appetizers, great entrees and goodwineselection. perfect date night or lady’s night for a nice evening out.

disappointed with high-priced low taste new year's day dinner. lobster bisque soup thick but bland-- one tiny tired piece of lobster found in the bottom of the heavy, flavorless soup. thickened with something-- not sure what. no bread served with the soup.
then beef bourguignon arrived, with thick gravy, littlewinetaste, heavy thyme, the meat, carrots and potatoes not cooked to the soft and melting textures desired in this dish, lots of gravy, but again-- no bread.
no saffron in the paella, no identifiable sausage.
did not stick around for dessert after hefty prices with little flavor.

this place is great, i love the food, especially the filet, which is always cooked perfectly, and you can't beat the selection ofwineand their drink menu;) i don't like that almost all of their drink menu has to do with absolute vodka, which the 90's called and even they don't want that vodka back! the rickarita is awesome, get it and ask for it as a double or in a short glass for a single so you are not drinking a ton of juice, then it is wonderful! i always have a good experience here and love to sit at the bar, i highly recommend it!!

great place. the food is not mainstream and i love it. however it may cause some mixed feelings if you're not willing to go outside of your norm. for example, the greek salad is a traditional greek salad as opposed to the american greek inspired salad which has lettuce and greek salad ingredients on it.
the meat is either choice or prime grade and 30 day wet aged which costs a little more as opposed to select and no age.
the wines by the glass are on a cruvinet system which allows us to buy 2oz of 50 different wines as opposed to the norm of 5 red and 5 whites which spoil each day.
i think all of these things are great about this place and the food and service is excellent.
but, it's not for everyone, some are just looking for a mainstream place and that's cool too.
so if you're looking for a different experience then give it a shot. if you're in towineas for patrick, he's one of 200 certifiedwineeducators in the world and one of 400 advanced sommeliers in the world.

wonderfully ahead of it's time. this casual yet high quality restaurant and bar is exactly what hawaii needs. large menu offering a range of delicious items. and perhaps hawaii's bestwinelist. genuine kind service. gotta check out this great kailua bistro!

greatwineselection. perfect forwineand appetizers, but that's about it. every item i tried to order they were out of (at 5pm); ended up with the kobe panini. appetizers were better than meal. i'd prob only go back for thewinebar.

yuppie heaven. it's got great food, a greatwineselection, great service, and a great atmosphere. they often have live music which is nice. we love to go here and do so as often as we can

the only bad thing i can say is that it's a big overpriced.
