excelent service good food they over did my burger, and replaced it with no problem, and gave us a free tarimisu for our troubles, the food was filling and up to my high standards, awsome.

consistently good. i agree with the reviewer who stated that you have quality food and may pay a little more for it. the fish, ribeye, lamb, filet mignon, fish tacos all good.they have a nice selection of wines to sample in flights especially for a little town like kailua.
we have almost always had great service.
once in awhile it's fun to sit at the counter by the kitchen. occasionally they have nice musicians perform. we had a hawaiian music duo last week with the unexpected added treat that a local lady diner performed an exquisite, impromptu hula for a friend. can't promise that, of course. but, i can promise that unless you are a malcontent you should have a lovely dinner.

what happened to the menu?!!! they used to have a decent variety on their menu but now it's a joke! they took off half of the things on the menu. the food is good but not good enough to justify the prices they charge. i think this may be my last visit.

awesome service. was visiting from out of town and had the best experience there. there was a wait of 30 min on a friday night which we waitted cause that's a sign of a good restaurant. a cocktail waittress got us drink outside while we waitted so the wait flew by. all of the food was very good. i simply mentioned that i forgot my cigarettes in the car and parked far and the manager overheard me brought me over one!
all of the little details were there, when i asked where the bathroom was i was escorted there, when i dropped my knife on the ground 2 servers came rushing over with a clean one.
definately go out of your way for this place.

great place. the food is not mainstream and i love it. however it may cause some mixed feelings if you're not willing to go outside of your norm. for example, the greek salad is a traditional greek salad as opposed to the american greek inspired salad which has lettuce and greek salad ingredients on it.
the meat is either choice or prime grade and 30 day wet aged which costs a little more as opposed to select and no age.
the wines by the glass are on a cruvinet system which allows us to buy 2oz of 50 different wines as opposed to the norm of 5 red and 5 whites which spoil each day.
i think all of these things are great about this place and the food and service is excellent.
but, it's not for everyone, some are just looking for a mainstream place and that's cool too.
so if you're looking for a different experience then give it a shot. if you're in to wine as for patrick, he's one of 200 certified wine educators in the world and one of 400 advanced sommeliers in the world.

good steaks bad service. the steaks and prime rib are top notch but the service is horrendous. our waitress had a very " i dont need this attitude".

still wish it were as good as they'd like to be. got the mahi and scallop with two 2oz pours of wine. $36? really? the presentation was great but the mahi and scallop were steamed and served mushy in barely reduced cream surrounded by bellpeppers which weren't in the description. so many better spots. go to buzz's!

i'm torn. the lobster bisque was incredible. sooo much lobster and creamy and thick and sweet and just amazing. but then we got the mediterranean salad and it was basically sliced raw bell peppers.....i'm confused. the truffle fries were delicious! but the service is always terrible....i've been here a handful of times, and it's always consistently inconsistent. i think they have a lot of potential but maybe they need some sort of a management reform? i don't know. i think they could definitely do really well, but right now they seem kind of awkward in their location and don't quite know how to relate/appeal to their clientele. hit and miss.

excellent food, great menu, and service that went above and beyond. we went to the restaurant with a 10 month old in tow only to find out they didn't have high chairs. we were undeterred and decided to keep our son on our laps. when our food was brought out, a staff member asked if he could hold our son so we could enjoy the food while it was still hot. of course, we took him up on his offer and enjoyed a warm meal while our son was entertained by a great staffer. i am sure we couldn't have had this experience on a peak fri/sat, but we were impressed none the less. we will absolutely return!

not your typical pasta place! we stopped for lunch and enjoyed relaxing for a short bit from our drive around the island. we had the creamed broccoli and crab soup. the crab was tender. it was really tasty. the bartender sneezed into her hands and then immediately washed them!

very good food but really more of a grill than italian based cuisine. there are pizzas but only a couple of other dishes that would be considered typical for italian restaurants. what they do offer is very good and it is one of the better restaurants in kailua. excellent tapas for happy hour.

wonderful atmosphere and even better food and wine. be sure to try the kobe hamburger - it's to die for! prices are high but you definitely get what you paid for - quality.

wonderfully ahead of it's time. this casual yet high quality restaurant and bar is exactly what hawaii needs. large menu offering a range of delicious items. and perhaps hawaii's best wine list. genuine kind service. gotta check out this great kailua bistro!
