nothing special.

awesome!!!!. delicious!!!!! i had the fried mahi fingers with slaw and steamed veggies. wow!!! so good!! and the server was soooo sweet!! not only was she sweet, but she kept that tea glass full too! big thing for me! and she was nearby and available in case we needed somethin. she'd glance over to our table once in awhile to check. but it wasn't the "stalking" kinda thing....just very aware and amazing. had a blast and plan to eat there again!

this place was great! we came in with a bag of fresh fish we just caught. they fried it up and made it so tasty! the sides were tasty too! hush puppy heaven!!! beer was great too!!!!! will be going back!

i had the crab cake and fried oysters! i kid you not when i say the crab cake was at least just shy of a 1/2 lb of crab!!!! it was so much i had to bring 1/2 home. don’t miss out on this place!!

great food good prices. toddler liked all the action. good location close to tybee island. had the mahi mahi . cheese grits are nothing special be aware.

great place to eat. we were looking for a local place on the way back from the beach to eat and happen to see this place and we stopped. they had awesome service and great food. the mahi fingers were great. i also recommend the tomato salad and the sweet tea. we will be back on our next trip to savannah.

best seafood. i've lived in coastal georgia my whole life. i have eaten seafood forever. flying fish has the best seafood i've ever had! the service is excellent! my favorite seafood ever in savannah!

bad experience. small portions, overpriced,mediocre quality and not clean. health dept rating was 91. but that seems way too high. especially if you see the kitchen. i complained about such small portions. waitress promised to bring additional food but never did. we left hungry.

don't waste your time. visiting tybee for the first time and decided to give this place a shot... turns out it wasn't worth it. sub-par food, sub-par service. definitely wouldn't go back.

great local place. we went here while visiting tybee island based on a tip from a local person, and she certainly steered us right! the food was good, portions were generous, and the service from our waiter, matt, was outstanding. the key lime pie was better than at one of the other "better" dining places on tybee island. outstanding dinner.

good standard beaches fare!

flying fish bar & grill review 4/4/2014. visiting from another state
my brother in law who lives nearby brought me to flying fish bar & grill.
once the server came by we told her to give us a couple minutes.
45 minutes later she took our order.
about 30 minutes later we began to wonder if we were going to get any food.
i asked for a iced tea refill somewhere along the line, it took along time melted ice.
saw people that came in after us order eat and leave before we even got our order.
my conclusion is that if you are a special customer you can get service otherwise do not bother
unless you have all day to kill, food was ok.

best fried crab claws ever.

flying fish bar & grill. once again, the yule holiday has rolled around. for 2013, my partner and i flew into savannah to celebrate with my family. this has given us the opportunity to review some new-to-us restaurants, as well as enjoy again (and review) a few from my younger days when i was growing on wilmington, whitemarsh, and tybee islands, as well as metro savannah.

our entourage dropped by flying fish in mercer crossing. ff has all the atmosphere and charm you expect from a funky island restaurant along with a view of the highway traffic. we had a good meal with good service at a reasonable price. there was a decent crowd, probably due to all the holiday shoppers. with everything being cooked when ordered, you might have to wait a bit. parking is easy. if you come on the weekend, you can and will expect a huge crowd.

my partner ordered the harbor master sandwich, while i chose the shrimp salad sandwich. both sandwiches came with chips and a pickle. these sandwiches were good.
