perfect steak. is right here! this was a very romantic evening for me and my fiance at the time. darker room, steaks cooked in the same room so it smells amazing. they brought crackers with different cheeses to the table, one being goat.. it was sooo creamy and tangy! everything was classy, and perfectly served. as an appetizer, we had shrimp cocktail: jumbo shrimp, grey goose infused chipotle horseradish cocktail sauce. very delish! for the main course, i had a filet mignon and my fiance had the new york strip... both were cooked to perfection! the side dishes were al la carte. try: fleming's potatoes, with cream, jalapeños and cheddar cheese. soooo good! my fiance had the sautéed mushrooms, which he said were amazing.. in butter and garlic. at the end of the meal, they brought us chocolate covered strawberries in a beautiful gold colored box, it is a pricey steak house, similar to ruth's criss, but i think i liked it a tad bit better. a definate anniversary dinner place.

excellent steakhouse. this is one of the top steakhouses, although i still like ruth chris' steakhouse a little better. i went here twice on business dinners and was very pleased on both occasions. i had the petite fillet, which was plenty for me. i also ordered what they call a "half and half" plate -- half french fries and half onion rings. the onion rings were great. i suggest that you order them.

our phalanx of 6 were treated splendidly, as is always the case at fleming's, as it should be for you do pay for that treatment.

perhaps as a whole these high profile and high end steakhouses are a tad much to the wallet but very rarely are expectations not met.

a delightfully decadent evening, particularly upon another inspector's dime. and a pretty penny it was!

we visit this location about once a month. we have always had good luck with the service and food. the compound butters and bread are an indulgent start to the meal and it just gets better from there. the specials are usually my favorite. cost savings suggestions- buy gift cards at costco to save 20%. join dine club to save $40 after three visits and other random discounts. subscribe to their promotional emails and occasionally receive a credit for $40 off if you reserve on their site

highly over prized,  extremely loud, and the food mediocre, everything drenched in butter. you get a better steak at black angus at one third the price in a similar ambiance.  if you want prime rib go to lawry's, if you want a steak at the fleming's price go to ruth's chris, or morton's. or if you know how to cook a perfect steak and want to spend what you would spend at fleming's  go to costco get the their prime steaks and you'll have enough money left to go to lawry's.

normally an avid fan of fleming's, i most often visit the scottsdale or las vegas locations. last night we took family out for a big celebration, as a gluten free and dairy free eater, i had let them know both ahead of time and alerted my waiter to how my steak and dishes needed to be prepared. ordered a dry filet, medium well. while my side dishes were great, my steak was first delivered with butter. (dairy) - the second steak was brought out rare, i did get an apology for the manager at this point and my third steak was then prepared and brought out. my family, at this point was completing their meal. no part of our meal was comped for any of this. after paying $245.00 for three steaks and sides with bottled water, i was hoping for better service with my meal. the taste was as always impeccable, and my mother received beautiful truffles and a card which she enjoyed, but i do not recommend this location for food allergies/sensitivities or attention to detail.

lets celebrate!. for my birthday, we went to fleming's. we had such a wonderful time plus a great meal. my husband had the prix fixe menu which consisted of chili prawns as a starter and filet mignon and salmon for the main course. the prawns were huge! the chili sauce was spicy but not too spicy. perfect. the filet mignon was juicy and tender. the salmon was pecan crusted on top, which my husband did not enjoy. otherwise the salmon was flaky and delicious. we shared some their scrumptious flaky, savory crab-cakes. a must try! we added the creamy garlic mashed potatoes that had just a hint of garlic. we loved them! i had the pecan-crusted sea bass with wilted spinach. if you like fish, you will love this sea bass. flaky and moist and seasoned perfectly. the sauce it came with was buttery and yummy. i am not a spinach person but i loved the wilted spinach. i don't know what they do to it but it got me to eat my veggies!
we recommend fleming's if you have a special occasion to celebrate. the host/hostess, the servers, assistant servers, etc.. make you feel appreciated and happy you are there. michelle was our server and was great. very attentive and helpful.

what changed? --see update. i've been a loyal customer of flemings since this restaurant opened. the food and service was always great. when i'd call, their system would even recognize my phone number, making reservations quick and accurate. sadly in the past few months, my opinion on this restaurant has changed. i have had many issues, some serious, some petty, here they are in no particular order: 1 they no longer recognize the person's phone number that's calling, that has led to difficulties making reservations, and one in-correct reservation. 2. they've made changes to their menu, that have changed some of our favorites, that aren't as good as the originals, namely the wedge, lava cake, and clear cosmo. 3. during our reserved visit on feb 16, we were sat at a rickety (covered) cocktail table, in the corner of their back room, not an actual table, we didn't complain because we could see the restaurant was full, but the waiter noticed, and laughed that the table was not stable. 4. we were there last night, and saw the most serious changes. we waited over 20 minutes for our first drinks to be delivered, and when the waiter's helper introduced herself, we didn't see her again until after our meals had arrived. the restaurant was not full, but the service was poor and slow. one of our guests ordered swordfish, which he had ordered two weeks prior, and it was excellent. last night, it had a dark streak through it, was overcooked and very fishy. we had it sent back, and this time, it looked better, was properly cooked, but still very fishy, not fresh tasting. the manager came by and asked how it was, we didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for another meal to be made and to be fair to her, we said it was fine. in my opinion, they should taste a sample of the food, or the chef should know what he/she is cooking, and know if the fish is fresh or not. i'm not looking forward to going back, as i had in the past...update after this review, the gm contacted me and offered to make good on what had gone wrong. while i appreciated the gesture, we didn't feel the impulse to rush back. so finally, about two weeks ago, we went back. everything was wonderful, i'm glad to see that things had changed for the better. i look forward to going back.

this was my first time going to flemings and i heard so much hype that i was excited to finally eat there. we went in a large group for a company celebration with about 22 people. the appetizers were very good. had the steak kabob and the mini quiche. i was looking forward to my flemings house salad but my disappointment started there. the dried cranberries and candied walnuts were good, the dressing was well balanced but the croutons were horrible. they tasted like 3 day old bread that had no flavor to begin with and was never seasoned. the least they could have used a little seasoning to make them acceptable. the mixed greens were similar to a $3 tgif salad but they charged extra for the flemings name. when i received my filet mignon it seemed more like a petite than a full cut. when i took my first bit i was not impressed. not much flavor, a little extra crispy on the outside, pretty dry on the inside. so i figured maybe it might get better as i go along... nope! stayed the same the while way thorough. it wasn't terrible but it wasn't a $50 steak. the fully loaded baked potato was good but was lacking enough fixings to have every bite a great bite. we ordered the chocolate lava cake for desert which takes 30 minutes to prepare. when we got it, it looked great. when we cut into the cake, we found out that they over cooked it. it was a dense chocolate cake. only one out of six ordered was done correct. the service was good but the food needs improvement. it lacked the flavor and proper execution that you expect from a great steakhouse. i would suggest going to ruth chris or lawry's instead or if you want the same quality of food, save the money and go to tgi fridays. i will not be returning to flemings anytime in the near future.
