fishale is awesome! the beer selection rocks! they will let you sample beers until you make a decision on what you would like! the burgers are verygoodas well! the staff are very friendly! we come here every time we are in pcb!

not agoodexperience. we wanted to like this place.goodconcept, close to home. prices a little high, but worth it if the food and drinks are good. after several tries in which we had a couple of bad experiences, we decided it isn't worth the time or the money. as a local, we have so many guests come into town that want agoodplace to eat. we won't recommend this one. don't expect to see if there next year either.

they are a great place all around. my husband and i got multiple times a week forgoodfood,goodpeople andgoodatmosphere! we are moving soon and going to miss regularly going to fish ale for wednesday pint nights and our other random days of the week!

an amazing beer selection andgoodservice. however, i wouldn't eat there. blaaa is the best way to describe the very in inspired menu.

almost forgot.... ask for dru!

off the strip perfection!. on our last trip to pcb we wanted to try something local and not a typical tourist trap. we found fishale on urban spoon and decided to drive past the strip to give it a try. we were so glad we did. our party of 9 was seated quickly and greated immediately by one of the friendliest servers i have ever met. the drink menu (a menu unto itself) was vast but our server was quick to recommend several based on our likes. we ordered several appetizers before our meal. between the nine of us, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. meals were fresh, hot, delicious, and dare i say perfection. we had such an great time (atmosphere was amazing) with the variety of drinks and food we decided to come back to bring the rest of the family. that's exactly what we did two days later before we left town. i am pleased to say that it was just asgoodthe second time around.

we came late on a monday night and experienced great service and food. the buffalo shrimp and the beer and blue chips were excellent. my husband's wings weregoodand meaty. the atmosphere is one we enjoyed, and we'll definitely tell our friends and family about this place!

this is a great sports bar with great service!! they were super friendly and had a very pretty waitress named ernestine. she was very helpful and we will be back every time we are in pc. also the had no problem with putting on the redskins vs giants game. the 5 dollar apps weregoodand the dollar beers too. these specials were on sunday. calamari was great!

horrible customer service from ashley and staff!!! we researched places to go on our vacation that hadgoodreviews so we went into fishale taphouse and grill with high expectations but we're highly disappointed!!! we were seated almost immediately but didn't have our order taken for at least 10 minutes. we went on wednesday night (1-20-16) because we wanted 2 fishale souvenir glasses. when i ordered i said we want 2 specials that comes with the take home souvenir glass and ashley said that we could choose from 3 of the featured beers for that special and we ordered 2 highland gaelic beers so we could receive 2 souvenir glasses. we were brought 2 plain glasses but figured the souvenir glasses would be brought out later. we finished our drinks and sat with empty glasses for another 10 minutes. when ashley finally came back to check on us i asked about the souvenir glasses and was then told that there were none left but she knew this when our order was placed!!! i wouldn't have ordered the special with the souvenir glasses if we were told this from the start. i told ashley that i would have never ordered the specials if i was told up front like i should have been. she told us "you should have arrived earlier if you want the fishale glasses" so i guess it was our fault?! poor customer service and will not be back but will leave bad reviews everywhere so future customers will be aware and not have the same problem!

a fewgoodwords about fishale's is that it's a very clean bar and grill with a great atmosphere.

what a great place. lots of beer and there food is great to. i had the seafood mac and cheese and it was creamy andgoodtopped with lobster. the beers are all craft beers but i got a rockefellar martini with green olives stuffed with bluecheese. service was great too. love this place. almost a shark!!!

shocked and dissapoinged. fishale was and i repeat was one of the best snowbird destinations in the area. several of my friends and i went on sunday evenings for a diner dance show. the food was usually between not hot and cold but still prettygoodbut the price was excellent and the fun made the dinner secondary. the music was provided by a couple who did everything they could to make sure everbody had a great time. they sang the music that most people of our age group enjoyed and we had a great time. i had planned on going with a group yesterday and found out that fishale had discontinued the sunday night show. we went two nights and had trouble finding a seat i was told that another restaurant was going to continue the dinner dance show, i hope to find it soon and i'll be glad to share. seems fishale doesn't need the snowbird business. no problem, i'll be glad to help you spread the word.

pint night. alright, i gave fishale another try. my friends and coworkers love their pint night and, being a homebrewer and beer snob, i wanted to get in on the fun! and that's what i had, fun? the owner was very attentive as well as my super server emily. the beer was verygood(swamp ape ipa, founders breakfast stout, double. bastard ale) and the pretzel app was good. i would recommend putting a third person behind the bar at 6:00pm to meet the demand of the happy hour... took 15 minutes to get a pint, but the chill vibe and friendly wait staff made it ok:) i'd still like to see a more robust menu, and get away from the sports bar feel, because i want this place to be a east side must have!

great idea... poor delivery. ok, so let me preface that i am not tony bourdain; however, i have cooked professionally, i have lived in and traveled to 30+ countries, and have been a home brewer for 20 years, and am now a pcb local.... so here goes:

i have heard from friends and coworkers about fishale, this wonderful oasis that a hopheaded quaffer can find refuge in, and partake of its 60+ beers, but then the mystique wears off when you actually walk in the door.

sure it looks like a converted steakhouse chain (who cares), but i am here for the beer and the grub. once seated, we're given menus and quickly asked "can i take your drink orders?" i'm thinking, "i was just handed the beer menu with 60+ beers to peruse, and i'm being hovered over for an order." come on, hand out the menus, tell us about the nightly specials (too bad, i had to prompt our waitress for it) and give my eyes a chance to take in the selection.

i ordered a pint of dogfish head 60 minute ipa and waited with my family for the apps and drinks to arrive. when my beer arrives, low and behold, i am the proud owner of a short poured pint... with its sad 2" head. gee, thanks.
(that's the reason they have those white lines on bar ware in the uk, it's against the law to 'short pour', the barman can lose his job.)

to the food... my wife and oldest boy ordered sandwiches, which they said they were pretty good, and my youngest ordered a flatbread pizza that he also enjoyed. my middle boy and i had the wing special-- being monday and its wing night at fishale. their sauces were the standard, not bad but nothing to write home about, but the dang chicken! if you are going to run a promotion, ie wing night monday, please do not either overfry your wings, or store them in the salamander waiting for a customer to order. i've snapped into a slim jim that was juicer than those wings. our waitress is fairly attentive on he drinks, although she took away the beer menu when she took our order. when i finish my beer, she asks me if i'd like another beer. it's a shame i'm not a savant and had memorized the menu. i then have to ask her for a beer menu which fishale should keep on the tables all the time. this place is about the beer, right?

the restaurant in general has a great idea but the execution is horrible. the food is mediocre; i can get better at flipping applebee's. the beer was good, but the selection could be better. dogfish head, abita, pensacola, new belgium... ok,goodfor a start, but the rest of the lineup is what i would find in the bottle in a decent grocery store.

if the place is selling itself on the beer, then the chef/km/head cook should design the menu to focus on the beer as an ingredient. and not in a batter. that's a cop out. try sauces, dressings, braising, etc. and how about a suggested beer pairing? dude, it's beer-- use it!

lastly the interior. we couldn't tell if fishale is going for fine dining (a la g. foley's) or beach dive bar/ sports bar (like a j. michaels.) pick one. or neither. focus on the beer. use it to focus on the food. and finally, fix the service. bad pours and crummy table work will push away the locals after the florabama crowds punch out for the summer, and i can guarantee the canadians will avoid fishale if bad word gets around. they know food and beer.

i want this place to do well. i just moved from where we had a micro brewery 4 miles from my house... so i have a selfish interest for fishale to succeed.

positives and negatives. the beer list isgoodand the prices are appropriate. we had calamari, crab cake tacos, and drunken grouper. the food was really good. withgoodfood and drinks i can overlook almsot anything.... and you have to. first, the place is kind of like an old sizzler or something. it was really bright inside, the tables had no individual lights, and the music was really low. all together that made it feel kind of like cafeteria dining. we sat pretty much in the middle of everyone elses' consersations. also, there were kind of strange furniture arrangements under the bright lights and the whole place felt awkward. service left a lot to be desired. with some ambiance improvements and more attentive service this place could be pretty awesome.

looking for agoodplace to eat while on vacation in pcb and found this one on urban spoon . the outside looks like it used to be a ponderosa steakhouse or a denny's but don't let that fool you . i had the blackened mahi-mahi and my wife had the drunken grouper . it was great! nice ambiance andgoodservice .

we come here regularly and enjoy it. love that they carry great beer (hard to find here in panama city area) and it is nice that you can get agoodmeal as well. the fish and chips is a classic but the drunken grouper is my favorite. on our last visit we got to meet sean, he was very helpful. great hospitality from the owners to the managers to the servers and bartenders. a great spot for locals and a hidden gem for visitors.
