good group dinner. 25 of us on the patio friday evening, set menu which had anicevariety of apps, salad, pizza and dessert. all came together when you first walk in, the hostess, bartenders, and servers especially for a large group, could not be more accommodating.

fired up. as we entered fireside pies, i reflected on my last visit to the one in fort worth. it was a pleasant experience, and i was fired up in anticipation that this one in grapevine would be equally up to the task. it did not disappoint. what can you say about all fresh ingredients baked on a delicious thin crust other than wow! we had three pies, the daily special which was tomatillo with chicken and sweet onions; the triple roni, pepperoni and mozzarella with basil leaves and truffle oil; and hot 'n' crumbled, some spicy crumbled sausage spattered with garlic ricotta, topped with diced tomatoes. having tasted all three, i liked all of them. the tomatillo pie was surprisingly piquant. the lemony flavor due to the tomatillo base was very different and unexpected in a positive way. i found that the more i ate, the more i was pleased with the pizza. the interior crust was soft and juicy, almost as if the crust was non-existent. once you reached the outer crust, it was dry, airy and had a great crunchy snap, like that of a good dry pretzel. it was like the best of both worlds. i had a slice of each of the other pies which were equally good. the triple roni had this amazingly fresh pepperoni which stood out among the rest of the flavors of the pie. the hot 'n' crumbled was also good. while the sausage was spicy, i wouldn't be afraid to try it if you are adverse to spicy foods. this was mildly spicy at best, but still worthwhile.

we split the blueberry salad among us three at the start of the meal. i think i would have liked to even had it served after the pizza as a palate cleanser. the fresh flavor of the spring blueberries was spread throughout as a vinaigrette and sprinkled on top of the salad as well. it was such a refreshing welcome of the bounties of spring and summer.

you should know that having arrived a bit after six on saturday during grapevine's main street days did not deter us from being immediately seated. not too long afterward a line began forming. there was more than ample parking. if you do have to wait, there is anicearea to sit and relax outside. they have a lovely bar too, if you care to wait indoors. we had no complaints. our server was professional and was able to answer all of our questions about the specials and took care of boxing our leftovers. the atmosphere was cheery and there were a few flatscreens included to entertain those dining alone.

we all had a great time. great atmosphere, great food, among great friends. we were definitely fired up for pizza yesterday. fireside pies provided the perfect answer.

i think this place is overlooked but is truly a quality establishment. decor is high end but not overly fancy, very comforting. we had charcuterie (cheese and meat) calamari , and shrimp appetizers all very good. for dinner we had steak and red fish both fresh and prepared nicely. really should eat here more often.nicecalm atmosphere and not loud. cute prom crowd one table over and very well behaved. wine list reasonable priced.

great atmosphere, food was 4.5/5. some of it sounded better than it actually was. service was pretty slow the day we went, but it's still definitely worth a visit. in this area are 3 other reallynicerestaurants, with a little park in the middle.

great service, verynicerestaurant setting, atmosphere and location, but the deal breaker that will keep us from a return visit was the food. it's good, but it's over-priced, and i can find good pizza for much less money elsewhere.

solid choice for a weeknight dinner. food: there are some great, reliable pizza pies at this location, including the burrata mozzarella and peta pie as well as delicious cocktails like the grapefruit rickey.

atmosphere: cozy, family oriented, casual and relatively quick

service: one of our three pizzas came out long after the others. it was pretty dried out so i guess it got forgotten under a heating lamp somewhere. then we got the bill and noticed about $25 worth of mistakenly added items. the waitress quickly remedied the problem and even comped one our drinks for the error

all of this just to say that after multiple trips to multiple locations my opinion of this restaurant chain is slightly improved but overall the same- not a fabulous restaurant but it's anicechoice for a moderately priced, relaxing, weeknight meal out with the family and some repeat favorites.
