allowed a second party to sell our identity. stole 500. never heard of this place. owner said it comes out of their earnings what about a person? really callous.

ordered baby spinach salad, was amazing. server was super helpful in recommending dishes. elegant space, good service, good space for a large group. sushi, garlic fries and chicken satay. are must try

elegant and cosy place with excellent food. there was any weak point in the dinner menu on both of my visits. i especially enjoyed sushi (bbq eel & mango roll), grilled scottish salmon and truffle parmesan fries. although the decor is not my style, the total experience was great.

i hate hittin up hotel restos.

but...the unlimited breakfast drinks at this spot is redic worth it.

the brunch meal options are huge and tasty,

the service is on-point and the dining area is really big.

fire & oak has become our go to weekend brunch spot. for $10, you get unlimited beverages while you dine... john ordered the bananas foster french toast ($11.95), which obviously included french toast, along with caramelized bananas, sweet brown sugar rum sauce, toasted walnuts, and an obscene amount of whipped cream. what a beauty!... i ordered the mushroom florentine omelet ($12.95). the omelet was filled with wild mushrooms, fresh herbs, and monterey jack cheese. it was topped with a creamy spinach with a hint of garlic. home fries on the side, which are by the way, perfectly prepared. as if all that isn’t enough, there’s toast with gigantic slabs of butter.

terrible valentines dinner a $67 filet that cost half the price on an average day was well burnt not medium well like i asked. the food too forever to come back so basically my wife are her meal alone and when i got mine i ate mine alone. so much for dinner together

entrees' and atmosphere were good. but we were very disappointed with the service. especially for a pricey restaurant like fire & oak and its location. we had to constantly asking for water and additional condiments. our children even commented on poor service.

overall good.. overall, good. kobe burger and fries were excellent. tried the steak salad once, my mistake. service always good. oddly, it's always very noisy or cold at lunchtime.

huge disappointment. went here for father's day brunch after looking at the menu on the restaurant webpage. when we arrived we found it was buffet only although the webpage didn't mention that. the food was mediocre. when we got the bill i saw 20% gratuity had been automatically added. i have never encountered a gratuity automatically added to a buffet bill, but 20 percent? the waitress was nice but no one deserves 20% for essentially pointing to where we can go to get our food. and again, nowhere was it mentioned that service would be included prior to when we saw it on the bill. the manager's attitude was dismissive. this wasn't my first time at fire & oak but it was my last.

living social. i got their "unlimited champagne" brunch deal through living social and loved it. i had a filet mignon with eggs and my girlfriend had a kobe beef burger. both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. the wait staff was very helpful and kind. everything was lovely with a very romantic atmosphere.

great menu. great restaurant in the newport section of jersey city. have been there with my boyfriend and also with a large group of friends. food has been consistent and staff is almost always knowledgeable and friendly. it seems theres a big business crowd during the week and weekends is made up of locals.
tuesday is half price sushi which is an amazing deal because the sushi is not only tasty but a very large portion.
their sister restaurant south city grill recently closed so now they are offering some of their menu items like raw bar, mussels, blackened swordfish and whole fish. they have a small dessert menu but the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream is all you need. all in all a very good experiance.

yum!. love this place, the chicken salad is to die for and is served with a delicious peanut sauce. i've never had bad experience at fire & oak. in the summer their outdoor deck has a great environment, you should check it out!
