we stopped in for lunch. i had theburgerwith bbq sauce and pineapple, fries and a chocolate shake. my wife had the club with a salad. she enjoyed her club a lot of meat. myburgerwas cooked perfectly, i was worried when it said they used a 1/4 lbs patty, but it was good. all the flavors went well together. fries were nice and hot. i am a fry sauce guy so when they offered their homemade 1000 island dressing i was pleased. my shake was good, you can tell it was handmade. service was quick and polite. i was surprised with how small the inside was but given it's a 'drive in' it makes sense. we'll be back.

a lot of bang for your buck! great portions & pleasant tasting continental-style breakfast.
theirburgerbaskets are another recommended item, & you can't go wrong with a nice thick, old fashioned milkshake too

a good place to drop in for lunch. the dining area at fins is small, featuring a u-shaped counter in the center of the room where patrons can sit on stools and relax in traditional 50's fashion if they so choose. booths lined in bright red vinyl upholstery line the walls for those who prefer more private seating. the dining room is small, but clean and cheery, with a color scheme of white and red, as well as the obligatory 50's memorabilia that decorates nearly every square inch of the walls.

there are also intercoms stationed at a row of parking spaces outside the building, through which one can order lunch and have it brought to one's vehicle. while the majority of diners on this particular visit chose to come inside and eat, one person did avail of this system.

service is quick, cheerful, and decently attentive. the lunch menu of course features the traditional fare of burgers and fries, though there is also a small selection of soups and salads. i chose the bel air, aburgerthat features bacon as well as the usualburgerfixin's. it was a delicious choice, with the bacon just short of being crumbly, and along with the basket of fries it was very filling. i also couldn't pass up the root beer that is made from a special in-house recipe; it's a perfect accompaniment to lunch. prices are pretty reasonable; one can have a very hearty lunch for under ten dollars.

the atmosphere is laid-back and relaxing; a couple of patrons, who seemed like regulars, were content to sit long after lunch had been consumed and either chat with the staff or simply enjoy being there.

all in all, fins is a pleasant change from the usual fast-food franchises. drop in for lunch, and feel free to stay a while.
