unhappy portion but delight taste. unlike many other fusion cuisines, the food here has a good balance of taste and flavor.the chef is very skilled and bold. at least for me, i have never seen lamb, meso and cucumber in the same dish. the lamb dish we tried was accompanied with charcoal roasted cucumber and sided with meso reduction. the unique meso flavor went nicely with the perfectly seared lamb while the charcoal roasted cucumber refreshes the taste. this way, one experiences the whole rhythm of flavor for every single bite.

the mushroom course was nicely designed as well. it was a nice combination of 5 different mushrooms, but i feel that it was a bit heavy since i believe all of them were done in butter. would be even nicer if a light reduction of fruit based vinaigrette was also in the dish. overall a very nice dish.

the sweetbread was almost perfect. it was fried nicely so that it has the integraty and the softness. the dish also had the essential sides to counter the richness of the sweetbread. one little thing is that i think it is a bit short on the taste side. just a little bit, not very much. again, a well executed dish.

this is a very nice restaurant overall. what is even better is that they change their menu according to the availability of the ingredient. i would go back again during october/november time frame and see what kind magic they are able to show.

exquisite. vancouver abounds with places in which you can buy a tasty meal. if you care about the sustainability and ethical sourcing of your ingredients you have to narrow your restaurants down to a few hundred. so what does farmer's apprentice bring to the already blessed scene? a couple of young motivated and passionate people who care about food, the act of eating, and the people they serve it to. essentially, you are guaranteed a lovely meal and a sincere ambiance.

just stumbled apon this brand new gem on 6th and granville. i've been here for lunch twice and drinks and appies once. my experiences have all been fantastic and i can't wait to come in for dinner. they have a farm to table concept that's bang on! their menu changes daily which keeps it interesting! today i tried the green been salad, the heirloom tomato salad and the grilled sasso chicken sandwich today and all were outstanding! they have great wines and craft beers on tap. i also like that they have sparkling water on tap. great service and to top it off the owners cute little dog can be seen hanging around. this place is a must!

excellent food with a thought. have just enjoyed a perfect dinner at this newly opened restaurent, and it was simply excelent, especially concidering the price. (as candinavians we are used to paying double or triple for food were so much thought have gone into it)
we (two persons) shared 5items.
a gaspachio with a perfect balance, and by far the best tomatos we have had in van.
white beatroot ́s lightly pickled with served on a rich honey youghurt - again with a perfect sweet/sour balance. highly recomended.
lobster/mushroom ragout - the chef knows more than a few tricks, cause making a mushroom ragout were the mushrooms still have bite but are lightly pickled is not easy.
ribeye - we a not normally big meat eaters, but this was simply delicious - extremly tender and with a rich flawor.
finally a berry/iscream dessert with a tea based and lightly sparkeling syrup.
will be back....probaly to often :)

overall we had a good experience. food was fresh and marvellous flavours expertly blended. a ling cod dish with corn succotash blew us away. our only issue is that we tried twice to make reservations with no callback days in advance, which was unfortunate, but we had no trouble getting a table when we showed up.
