exclusive chinese

one of perth's best. have been twice in the last 2 weeks ,the first time had the banquet for 2 the 2nd ordered off the menu. both were excellent but there is more value on ordering from the menu and you can eat a bit of each dish but with the banquet it is one dish at a time .pricewise there isn't much in it .the food was excellent as is the wine list. the service fast and friendly. the restaurant is pleasant and much more upmarket and modern compared to most other chinese restaurants and you feel like you have had a night out .

second visit on a week and it was just as good if not better. they even done prawn crackers for us :)

by far the best chinese food in and around the area! would have to travel to perth city to get food as good. prawn crackers the only thing missing from this chinese menu. friendly staff, lovely setting inside. definitely our regular chinese restaurant from now on, no more driving to the city for our chinese food. will be going back soon.

the restaurant has good fine dining options. food is tasty, although not authentic. nice view of the sea from the restaurant.

2nd time. going forlunch great meal great value 2 meals with rice and 2 glasses of wine $40 excellent value definitely going back also really nice location

honestly this place is not really good very disappointing you're paying high prices for small portions of food i had the lemon chicken and it was crap dry chicken and tough. everyone at the table tried the chicken and said the same thing. i should have guessed that it wasn't going to be good from the number of customers inside the restaurant only us. i'll give it a 2 out of 5. i'm going back the old style chinese restaurants dilapidated and old but at least it's good and reliable. i recommend waikiki chinese.

just got home from eating here, the food was amazing, authentic, delicious and the staff were gorgeous. the menu has a few western dishes too. we didn't eat desert though peaked another table and their deserts looked incredible. the only issue is we couldn't eat everything, though of course they organised the food for us to take home. so happy right now :).

although, the prices were a tad higher than i expected from a chinese restaurant, the food was also better than expected. appetizers were the assorted platter - (spring roll,prawn toast and sweet corn soup) nice, but quite standard. also, the sang choy bow which was excellent. the mains were szechuan beef and duck with plum sauce which we shared and were equally delicious. the mains are a little on the small side so i recommend ordering extras if you're hungry. service was good, and average waiting time was about 10 minutes or less.

horrible food.....we watched three tables make complaints at the counter all about small portions and food. we will not be back.... worst chinese food our family has ever experienced...we will not be back. the staff did not care about our feedback and lost the ability to speak english...shocking !!!!!

i expected a lot more from this restaurant.
the food was ok, the restaurant was basically empty all night, but really, the most concerning thing was the price.
i think using the word 'exclusive' in the name and with $30 main courses, you would expect a premium chinese dining experience, however, this restaurant simply fails to produce anything close to a premium experience.
if they dropped their prices by a third, i would consider returning. or, if they offered a unique experience and the prices stayed the same, i would consider returning also.
in its current format, 'exclusive' chinese is just like any other chinese restaurant in rockingham with nicer plates and twice the price.

service was attentive, polite and efficient. food was exteremley good, much better than w have had in top perth restaurants. prices are fair given the quality. only negative is the floor was sticky!!

is he the owner. we had a lovely meal at the exclusive chinese restaurant, however, the night was ruined by the drunken "owner" sitting in the corner near the reception desk. he insisted on berating a young boy, who we think belonged to one of the staff members, in a loud voice several decibels louder than was acceptable. this went on for quite a while and you could tell the wait staff were embarrassed. if you're the owner and you've read this message can i suggest you either eat at home or don't drink so much.

expectations were high! finally a chinese restaurant in rockingham that didn't look like the dilapidated 50 year old chinese restaurants that have plagued rockingham since the 70s.

the decor is excellent and provided a classy feel to the beginning of our dining experience.

a great menu and reasonably priced with some not so reasonably priced wines also on offer.

we ordered as per the menu list and waited expectantly for our entrees.

that's where it all fell apart!

after waiting some 25 mins we were advised that they had run out and asked us to re-order. not a problem!

entrees arrived and although small were quite flavoursome.

approx 30 mins later the mains began to arrive. at this time 2 of our party were told that they would need to reorder their main meal!!

another of our party wasn't even aware that they were required to reorder and subsequently had to approach staff to check, once again to be told they would also need to re-order.

due to half our party already eating there was no point in waiting another 30 mins for new meals to arrive it was decided to share all the meals

end result: everyone left wanting more and dome cafe benefited from several hungry persons

will not return to this restaurant.

back to the old reliable (even if still dilapidated) chinese restaurants. boring but at least you'll leave satiated.

service alone is worth going back for. customer service is amazing, food is fantastic, price is in line with most chinese restaurants around the area but the service is worth going back for. you get what you pay for. nice selection of red wine for the wine lovers.

satay chicken, read satay onion and roast crispy pork, read roast crispy fat. we had our dinner tonight, 02.01.2015. the waiting staff were very attentive and polite and the norwegian sparkling water was sparkling, as our waiter often topped our glasses up. we ordered vegetable spring rolls, 2 pcs $8. so, $4 per bite. tasty but too expensive. satay chicken was the next meal and the portion was really small, which wasn't such a problem if it was just satay chicken. but, unfortunately more than half was onion. i made it clear to the head waiter that i ordered satay chicken, not satay onion and his response was that it is chinese-malaysian style, which in my opinion still doesn't justify the fact that dish had more onion than chicken. next dish was the chinese roast crispy pork which was pork belly containing 75% fat. they should change the menu name to crispy roast pork belly, because when you order roast pork you expect a decent piece of meat.
i don't mind paying top dollar for good quality food, but this just wasn't that. i can recommend a dozen chinese restaurants in perth with better food and value for money.

nice enough. food ok, have had better chinese food. had the 4 course banquet and a glass of wine....$50. enough food for me to be full. the garlic prawn dish and the fried rice were the best bits. other dishes were average. nice place with attentive staff.
