wow wow wow. went to the estelle for dinner last friday night and we were so blown away that we returned again on saturday night for dinner.

the staff were really accommodating to ensure we did not have too many repeat dishes and the only ones that were repeats were our absolute faves anyway (cauliflower sausage and desserts - cherry, almond, earl grey + the sponge cake)! then again, everything was outstanding from the eel, tuna red cabbage soup to the wagyu, kangaroo and pork loin.

only now whilst i'm writing this review did i just realise they're open for sunday lunch too. yes. i would have gone there 3 days in a row had i known! can't wait to return sometime soon!

mmmmm nice. went there on a thursday lunch sitting. it was nice to have the space shared with only a few other diners. i had the 3 courses with matching wines. we were also given a sneaky starter consisting of 3 different items ( as there was 3 of us), along with a fantastic dessert each. so all up i was pretty impressed with the money i payed as everything i ate was fantastic. it was nice that our first course we were served different dishes as you were able to see what else was on offer. i really enjoyed not knowing what i would be getting as you are just given food which adds to the experience. would love to go back.

pure food art.. the food is flawless. the wine is well chosen. the dim, cosy and intimate space makes you look out at all the passers by, wondering if they can see you and silently sniggering at what they are missing out on.

the staff and chef's are friendly and informative. it's great to see them abuzz in the kitchen, cooking up pieces of art and having them presented to you proudly!

highlights: "ashed" goats cheese (ground poppy seeds to mimick ash), chickpea chips, smoked eel and truffle & artichoke soup!
also, they made up a fantastic violet gin drink - ask for it!

try the degustation - always a winner. this place never fails me.

these words describe my overall experience of estelle: delicate, enchanting, and well balanced. this is a great dining experience, and at a very reasonable price for the quality of food. get in there before it gets too popular!

i was drunk on creative dishes, cordial service and enviable company. as soon as we finished our extended degustation, we were promptly brought the bill. knowing we were late for our gig, our waiter joked, “why are you still here?” as we walked out the door. well mister, we were still there because we didn’t want to leave.

absolutely delicious! the staff were attentive and friendly. the food was glorious (loved the cauliflower sausage!) and the wines were thoughtfully chosen. the girls and i had a great time!

this place is a fine example of competent cooking that doesn’t push the boundaries, and nor should it. this is simple food, excellently executed – and at the end of the day, isn’t that what we all really want on a warm summer’s night?

estelle is bang for buck. for the prices they're charging, it's a bargain given the thought and work going into the dishes. there's a lot of hard work, but they are also fun dishes, and a pleasure to eat.

in the same whimsy note ... each plate is simpler, but every bit as thoughtful, precise and beautiful, with ingenious pairings and each course oozes with creativity.

i’m not a huge fan of “the usual”, but i really hope the estelle catches the imagination of enough folk to keep on doing what they are doing, cause i’m loving it.
