embers

a nice lunch minus the coffee. had a late lunch at embers. waitress very friendly and let us know that the coffee machine was unserviceable. we appreciated being told immediately. we ordered half dozen oysters, chicken cordon blue and club sandwich. the waitress then had to tell us that their seafood range had not been delivered so we stuck with just having our mains.
i guess we were lucky we hadn't ordered any other seafood.
in saying this our other dishes were very sizeable and very tasty. the club sandwich was huge. the chicken cordon bleu was good quality.
despite the two set backs which to us were very minor, my wife and i enjoyed our late lunch at embers.

have been many times since and breakfast is lovely
whatever issues they had- they have responded fixed up or maybe a bad day last time i visited.

came for breakfast this morning at embers...was a late breakfast at 10.30 the place was empty.
full compliment of choices available i chose eggs benedict for $17 - a favourite and my husband the phat breakfast at $23 - (big breakfast with the usual).
came out pretty quick, my hollandaise sauce was really thin and cracked ...the bread pretty hard to break though even pressing hard on the knife.
the phat breakfast was ok. just ok.
coffee...fiori in a mug was bitter ...usually i like fiori coffee but really bitter.
service was friendly and good. quick, polite not intrusive.

too noisy. excellent service, great food, but we had a table of 6 and we could not hear what each other was saying, such a noisy place, with nothing to absorb the noise. the last 2 times it was the same, have spoken to others who all felt the same, sorry but i wouldn't go again, if it was up to me to make the booking.

tuesday treat!!. i almost didn't want to write how good this place for fear we wouldn't ever get a table, but it's obvious the secret is out! waiters...excellent. food...brilliant. atmosphere...great. dessert...the best!! thanks embers, we'll be back.

what a joke!!!. i had the misfortune to go to embers with some family i did think that it would be good as the other reveiws said so.i order the veal scallopini rubbish i got a tough piece of rump steak covered with an a dark brown gravy with mushrooms in it i called the waitress over and complained i was told by the elderly waitress that i must understand that sometimes they can only get older beef.1. its is supposed to be veal.2. in a light sauce with porcini mushrooms.3. made with marsala wine or if they cant do that some cognac.i feel so sorry for people in perth they work hard and are willing to spend good money and they get this utter rubbish.
my farther in law ordered the special snapper which in all fairness he said was ok but must of been 150grams for 27 dollars he was ripped off like me i think people dont know what great italian food should taste like and so they get away with it if a good italian place opened in the hills they would be out of bussines in a month.it makes me so angry as i was a chef in the uk and i would have had my arse kicked for putting out that rubbish.

an absolute gem up in the hills, i have never had a bad meal at embers the staff are always amazing and the food is fantastic, best desserts around especially the cheesecakes, and nothing is to much trouble when ordering takeaways, our families favorite place for breakfast lunch and diner.

found a new favourite in the hills. took a chance without booking on a cold, rainy sunday place was busy, staff bent over backwards to get us a table. amazing food and excellent service. will be back for sure!

over rated. this is a nice restaurant with large serving portions, the food is good but nothing exceptional..

genrally overated and busy

great for family meals. have been here with my husband and kids for dinners, and i've always found the service and food to be really good. i also like the atmosphere. they also give the kids colouring pads and crayons, which is a plus. the takeaway is great too - love their pizzas and pastas, and i also like the fact that they deliver!

walked in earlier this evening (sunday) and had a great experience. we sat outside with the fire going and it was lovely and warm. food was delicious but massive servings. we had a really great waitress as well, who was sweet and attentive but not intrusive. will definitely be back!

this is an absolute institution in kalamunda and gooseberry hill. this is more of a special occasion place as it's by no means budget, but the quality is there to justify the prices. special mention to the carpetbag steak - it is to die for.

awesome little place.. been coming here for years, the pizzas and pasta are especially excellent. nice atmosphere, gets a little cramped when busy but the service is generally prompt and friendly.

a total gem! make sure you book as we managed to grab the last available spot on a friday night in advance. the garlic bread is delicious with just the right amount of garlic . mains of beef parmi and pasta and also spinach ricotta gnocchi couldn't have been more different but both amazing. the ambience has a warm buzz of people enjoying company and food and the service was attentive but not over bearing. i would recommend embers to anyone wanting an italian dining experience. ❤️

after a search on zomato for our after church lunch venue, we came here as first-timers last week. we did not know we are supposed to book in advance, but the waitress team was very helpful and managed to find us a table just when we’re about to walk back to the car. we love the food! the pasta was al dente and spot on, the pizza had the right amount of crisp, and despite we ordered the all meat one, was not overpowering. the chilli mussel was fresh and fragrant, and the chicken parma was also pretty great.
