had a bad experience in this restaurant.

pork katsu curry looked like it was made from frozen packets with how thin the cutlets were, the sauce was way too overpowering and definitely the worst one i've tried. if this was all, then i wouldn't even have taken the time to leave this review but there's more.

they didn't have rice at 7pm unless we wait for 30min despite 7pm being nowhere near closing time. so they offered for us to choose a salad instead. the salad ended up taking longer than 30min to arrive anyway. not to mention they made us pay for this salad which is $8 more than rice would've been. ordered two plates of chicken nanban, the second one arrived 30 min after the first one and had almost half less chicken in it. i asked why the second one had less chicken in it which they just denied by saying 'no they're all the same'.

wouldn't recommend as there are too many other places in hamilton that are 100x better to spend the night eating out in.

lovely ramen with nice customer service~ shoyu ramen and takoyaki are the best!!! 酱油拉面非常的好吃…味道非常的浓，而且一点都不会重口味！是不可以错过的美食！！！！！！！！(´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡

highly recommend shoyu ramen and beef udon! best ramen restaurant in town! sashimi was also nice and fresh. will bring my family for birthday party next month.

wonderful japanese restaurant in hamilton cbd

looked everywhere to find this place but it seemed that they did not update the address.
zomato showed that this place was in hamilton east but it was actually in central.

i was expecting same old japanese style restaurants where all the dishes are slightly overpriced with small portion.

all the food i ordered in this place was so huge i could not believe it.

soba noodle with tempura was only $20, portion like this in auckland would have been about $35, ramen was jumbo sized to begin with, deep fried platter was $30 with heaps of chicken fish squid and prawns.

slight downside was all the dishes were slightly bland. could use more flavour!

nice food. good service and environment. reasonable price. quite enjoyable. i recommend the chicken nanban, dumplings and gyudon! yummy!!!!!

i had katsu curry and it is not authentic too buttery greasy. the meat is not crunchy it is very soggy so are the assorted tempura set. i don’t think it is freshly cooked. the price is too expensive for what you get. no where near japanese restaurant sorry

a  little gem in the town and the only ramen restaurant in hamilton city.  the broth is very well balanced in flavour and pearly noodles were great . the bbq pork just melts away in your mouth, you can also choose to add the extra topping into your soup. the sashimi is so fresh as well. highly recommend

worst japanese ever. boiled rice cooked to mush, tempura sauce was just brown water, squid was like chewing on a tyre, edo noodles tasted like vinegar and were inedible. we complained about the noodles but they simply apologised and charged us in full even though we said we didn't want to pay as it was inedible. greasy food with not much flavour. the best thing was the raw sliced cabbage. wouldn't recommend to anyone. won't be back.

one of my favorite places to hang out. we booked for 7 people, that was enough place around the table. staff was super acknowledged and welcomed. restroom clean and pretty big.  i am a fan of their tan-tan ramen noodles, and their fresh sushi. i would recommend this place for small groups

ramen was delicious- you can really taste the pork flavor infused into the soup. the bbq pork was full of melt in your mouth pork belly. i also like their miso soup and karaage chicken. the foods also comes out super quick!

everything good in this restaurant！！！i love thesoyoyu ramen, so delicious! also the renkon chips are my favourite appetizer, really nice! really good experience!!!

best ramen and gyoza in hamilton highly recommend this place. the spicy ramen was perfect. sesame seeds and chili oil added interesting twisters to this spicy ramen. the staff were super friendly.

this is alittle gem in town.
definitely worth a try and highly recommended for a japanese experience.
