i was highly anticipating visiting this restaurant for a long time. we were 2 of us and visited them on a weekday for dinner. the interiors of the place are fantastic. its a very well done space, oozing peace, calm and tranquility.
we chose to be seated inside and were given a table by the window.
sadly the service and the food were absolutely pathetic. after we were given the menus, and after we had chosen what to order the server who came over to take our order looked so disgruntled and sad to be there taking our order i almost felt bad for ordering 😑🙄
we initially ordered just a drink and a starter, and when we were ready to order the main course, another sever looked equally dissapoitned to come and take the order.
chilly chicken - 2/5, thin strips of chewy chicken that was very oily.
margaritta pizza - 1/5, by far the chewest and worst pizza i've eaten. the cheese used on the pizza a basic mozzarella that was so plastic and chewy. we left the pizza after eating one slice.
on my way out i entered the other side of the cafe which has a buffet setup and an lounge style seating.
the place is beautiful and it was truly sad to see it empty. it has a very new york speak easy vibe.
but something has to be done about the food and the service.
