we love these kolaches!. my husband loves all the savory ones especially the ones with eggs, potato & cheese. i have tried many of the fruit flavors & they are all yummy. my favorites are the pumpkin (with o without cream cheese), strawberry cream cheese, blueberry cream cheese & the raspberry. they have great bagged coffee too!

great kolaches in n. fort worth!!!. no need to drive to west when there are great kolaches right here in n. fort worth! i have been a fan of these czech pastries every since i discovered west, tx. and westfest in the late 80s. duffey's kolaches are right up there with any i've had from west. duffey's even took 1st place best fruit kolache at the 2014 westfest.

we have been coming for several months and love the baked goods. owner is very nice and freindly but not his staff. a teenage blonde girl can barely say hello. ok so i can tolerate that but last sunday did me in. this blonde was smacking her gum and blew a big bubble while getting my goods, barely says hello and her hair should be pulled up and out of the way. it was hanging in a pony tail so still flying all over. gross gum, hair and no pleasant hello. so disappointing that workers cant be held to a higher standard. i wont be back as long as she is there.

has a 94% rating but everything seemed stale when we went. we tried a sample of 2 different kolaches, ham & swiss, sausage & cheese, pulled pork. all dry & stale. maybe just a bad day.

awesome!. my wife and i were looking for an authentic kolache shop in the fort worth area and ran across duffey's. after going to west for the last 20 years, we didn’t think anyone could compare to the kolaches there. we were pleasantly surprised with duffey's. the main difference between west and duffey's is that west uses a traditional recipe where duffey's is a lighter version. as i am czech, i'll be the first to tell you there are hundreds of recipes handed down through generations. some are made with potatoes and others are made with bread yeast. the average person will have no clue what version they’re tasting unless they were educated by a czech person. i personally like duffey's recipe better as the dough seems much lighter and sweeter than west, which is definitely the bread yeast variety. unfortunately we got there late in the morning and some of our order was a little dried out, but that’s our fault because we didn’t know they closed at noon. they keep the meats in a warmer, which is a nice change from room temp donuts. it's absurd to compare kolaches to donuts, because they're not the same product. i’ve also been to many donut shops claiming to have kolaches, which is just an embarrassment to all czechs! my wife loves the “danish” muffin looking thing, i’m not sure what’s in it, but damn it’s good.

disappointed. having just moved to the area, i have been on the lookout for a good kolache. when i saw duffey's, i figured i would give it a try. my son and i tried the ham and cheese and the sausage. first of all, i understand their dough is made in house, but it is not a true kolache dough. kolache dough is generally more dense and sweet, where this dough is fluffy and just a normal type of bread. my son said that the sausage was not very good, and the ham and cheese, although large, consisted mostly of bread and the texture of the ground up ham in the cheese, just seemed wrong. having said all this, i will still go back to try their fruit kolaches, but i have my doubts. to those that love a lighter dough, you will love duffey's, but if you are looking for a more traditional dense and sweet dough on your kolache, pass this one by. my suggestion is to take a trip to the czech stop in west, where you will find true kolaches.

i have driven by this on several occasions and always wanted to try it... so this sunday morning instead of going to our usual place shipley's donuts i drove a little further away to give it a shot. the menu sounded great and guy working there always talked it up however after spending 22 buck , which is about twice as much as i would have spend at shipley's, i was very disappointed and not just me my wife and kids too and they would eat anything. the bread it's all on is ok maybe warm with butter but as they serve it was cold or room temperature and just tasted old. the cinnamon rolls were dried out and had very little icing the sausage rolls were not very good compared to shipley's. i had thought since they specialize in kalaches they would be very good. i was wrong !!!!!!!

love it!. i'm sorry for the previous commenter's negative experience, but we've had nothing but great service and food at duffey's. even my oldest son, who would give his life for a donut and would rather go hungry than try something new loves duffey's! we're so excited to have something other than the standard donuts. the food is excellent and we've had nothing but great service and good experiences. for the complaints that "they're always out of what i want" i would ask what time you're showing up. remember it's a small business; they can't just have unlimited quantities of every product. if you're there later in the morning (just like with a donut shop, natch), your selection is likely to be a little limited.

anyway, to end on a positive, we really love duffey's and will be back frequently. (i think we've averaged once a week since they opened.)

3 strikes. i really have tried to like this place. and don't get me wrong the kolches are great, but the service and the disaster that they are inside kind of destroys that. first time we went was a week or so after they opened. there were only 3 people in line, one car in the drive-thru, and 4 people working. one person just stood around and looked and one was making koloches and the others were helping the customers. we were number 2 in line and took us 25 mins to get our food. plus they were out of just about everything. the food was great when we finally got it, and i was more than willing to give them another chance because i understand growing pains and getting used to a new business. i wanted to take koloches to a family breakfast because i had told everyone how good they were. i decided to order online the night before so i wouldn't have to wait and i could get what i wanted. i ordered $25 of koloches and sausage rolls. when i got to breakfast i realized they forgot the sausage rolls. i called them and told them it was not a big deal but just put the money back on my card for the sausage rolls. he (duffey) got my number and said he would try and refund the money (try? pretty sure you should know how to work your credit card machine) or just comp my next order. i never heard back from him, and i never got a credit. probably should have stopped then. but i gave one more chance today, about 3 more weeks later. i went online this morning and ordered koloches. it does say allow 24 hours for large orders. i only ordered 6 koloches (just trying to save time of waiting with 2 kids) and last time i ordered online i ordered much more placed to order at 9 pm and picked up at 9 am and besides forgetting half of it, it didn't seem to be an issue. plus, you order everything online these days. i ordered at around 8:20 and selected a pick up time of 9 and arrived at 9:15. they told me they needed 24 hours, and i said well online it says large orders need 24 hours. i was told all online orders were considered large orders, maybe that needs to be made clear and maybe you should only be able to enter the date and time for 24 hours later. i decided to just ordered what i wanted but of course they were out of everything. so i give up, i understand growing pains at the beginning but at some point your going to have to figure out how to run a business and serve good food. i am really disappointed because i was so excited about this place :(
