it was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist in istanbul so it is quite known and the first thing you notice is really friendly and enthusiastic staff. they are always goofing around much like most people in istanbul . we were havingindianfood after a long time and it was quite a respite. we had a simple meal of dal , rice ,paneer and chapati and the portions were quite good . this place is recommended for anyone wanting to haveindianfood in istanbul .

this is the most delicious ethnic restaurant in istanbul so far. the butter chicken and chicken tikka lababdar are my favorites and lassi mango is worth to try if you are looking for something sweet. lastly, do not forget to orderindiantea as a final shot.

my rating of 3.0 is for the ambience and location, which is very close to famous sultan ahmet mosque.

in terms of food, it doesn't impress you very much. since they use the word 'ethnic' in their name, i was really looking forward to my dinner. after all, i was going to haveindianfood after almost a week.

i didn't like the biryani at all. i am very sure that it shouldn't be called biryani. it lacked the signature fragrance and cooking style. at best it was a 'masala rice' (spicy rice with some bits of vegetables). the paneer (indian cheese) used in main course should have been a lot creamier and softer.

veg. spring rolls were fabulous.

we chose to sit inside, and we were the only ones sitting there, while all tourists were sitting outside and enjoying the weather. well that is still no reason for why there was not even a single staff person to attend to us after the first order. my wife had to get up from her chair between our meal and call someone from outside to attend us.

for the price that they charges, which is just right, i expect them to deliver at-least 90% of what trueindianfood tastes, smells and feels like. and trust me, istanbul has all the ingredients locally available to do that.

i will still visit them next time and see how better they have done.

was in istanbul for a few days last week and amongst all the regular kebap places found this nice littleindianplace

we went in for dinner, food was actually quiet nice. ordered a mixed grille, roghan josh and kadai chicken with naan.

extremely grumpy manager, wouldn't give us a table on the terrace when it was not even busy. have us a small table meant for thrre, we were four, right in the staircase.
@place could do much better with nice and friendly staff. he even told a couple the terrace was closed when people were still there

can't understand what this young man's problem was. nazi ahmed

rating this according to its indian'ness.

placed is definitely havingindiancooks. used regularly byindiangroup tourists forindianbuffets..

getting vegindianbread and daal is big plus. open and closed seating and view are definitely plus.

please don't expect the absoluteindianstyle bread, though you wont get it in most of europe.

perfect place for indians missing home food. i had gone with my family when i was in istanbul. we had called for simpleindianvegetarian food and they also prepared things off the menu on special request as they hadindianchef. i liked the food and place. pretty decent! would recommendindiantravellers and locals who enjoy good ethnicindiancuisine.
