perfectbreakfastspot. we've been eating at doyle street for about three years now. it's so good, we drive 25 minutes just to eatbreakfastthere. they skimp on nothing: peete's coffee, odwalla orange juice, classic diner breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, whatever) and even better dishes with little twists such as the smoked salmon scramble (smoked salmon, cream cheese, dill, scrambled eggs), or the creole omelette (jack cheese, avocado, sour cream, and a yummy creole sauce). the service is always friendly and the place is very kid-friendly. it's always pretty busy even though it's almost hidden in the revitalized area of emeryville. it's a prime example of "location does not matter" if your food is really good and your service is friendly. highly recommended.
