pros: we really enjoyed the space, and the convenient location.
cons: in my opinion, the service was lethargic, and the prices were higher than expected, especially based on the menu items.
toss-up: the cuisine had its ups and downs. for our appetizer, we ordered the "bread, butter, really good olive oil," which actually consisted of simple bread, butter and olive oil; completely average and uninspired. my wife ordered the grilled black angus burger medium-well (with cheddar, iceberg, red onion, and black pepper mayo); however, it was served well below medium. to be fair, upon request, we were not charged for the burger. the hand-cut fries were inconsistently seasoned (some had no seasoning at all, while others were drenched in seasoning). the highlight of our meal was the shrimp and grits - beautifully presented in a cast iron skillet, the flavors were outstanding, with wild gulf shrimp, andouille, tomato, and weisenberg grits, all of which were saturated in a strong and tasty sauce.
i might return to try more of the menu.
