i went prior to baseball game on a saturday so it was early. food was good overall, i had shrimp and grits, not the best i've had, but not the worst either. portion size was maybe a tad small but price was not expensive either. drink i had was good. the other people in group liked their food too as far as i know. it's a really nice subterranean space on main street.

delicious, wonderful location, lots of options, drinks are pricey.. there is a ton of options for drinks, some of them are a tad pricey, even the beer, but it is all very good. the cardinal smoke tastes like liquid christmas. love the location, perfect on a beautiful afternoon, great for yum center or theater events. food is very good, the steak was fantastic, very tender, loved the appetizers, beer cheese and feta is spectacular.

as self-proclaimed "foodies" my husband and i decided to try this place with another couple. on first site, the location very nice and we were able to sit outside on the patio. that's about all the positive i can give. service was slow to take our orders and we sat approximately 10min without any acknowledgment. i did have a delicious cocktail, but it definitely was pricey. now onto the most important part...the food. i ordered the steak that came with salad and fries. i ordered it medium, i got it medium well. the steak was under seasoned and quite frankly bland. contrary to the steak, the fries were over seasoned and extremely salty. for $18, i would have had a better steak at longhorn. my husband ordered the bourbon glazed pork belly with fried egg and upon taking his first bite almost had to spit it out because of how salty it was. it was too unbearable and had to send the dish back. the server offered to make a new dish, but my husband was no longer interested. his second attempt at dinner was the three little pigs sandwich and thankfully it came out much more edible. it's super annoying though that fries do not come with the sandwhich and after all that, our server still charged $3.99 for the fries. will not be back.

a great place to try some different bourbons and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. kind of a small place and seems to be arranged haphazardly. the bourbon fried chicken is a boneless breast which is not what i had in mind. i don’t know when chicken tenders and boneless breasts started being fried chicken. the meat had that steamed rubbery texture and there is a green tomato relish they put on it that makes it soggy. mashed potatoes are very good but that’s probably due to all the added dairy. collards are ok but swimming in grease. all things considered, i would not go back for dinner, but would for drinks.

pros: we really enjoyed the space, and the convenient location.

cons: in my opinion, the service was lethargic, and the prices were higher than expected, especially based on the menu items.

toss-up: the cuisine had its ups and downs. for our appetizer, we ordered the "bread, butter, really good olive oil," which actually consisted of simple bread, butter and olive oil; completely average and uninspired. my wife ordered the grilled black angus burger medium-well (with cheddar, iceberg, red onion, and black pepper mayo); however, it was served well below medium. to be fair, upon request, we were not charged for the burger. the hand-cut fries were inconsistently seasoned (some had no seasoning at all, while others were drenched in seasoning). the highlight of our meal was the shrimp and grits - beautifully presented in a cast iron skillet, the flavors were outstanding, with wild gulf shrimp, andouille, tomato, and weisenberg grits, all of which were saturated in a strong and tasty sauce.

i might return to try more of the menu.

by far my favorite bar in the city. i've never had anything from the food or drink menu that wasn't spectacular. 7 across the board is definitely my favorite drink. love down one!

don't come if there's an event at the arena. while it was fine the first time we were there, before an event the food took an hour and was served cold.
they simply don't seem able to handle the rush.

we had good service, great atmosphere, and lots of fun. sure, it was a little pricey, but this strikes me as a good place for out of town guests who want a bourbon experience. i’ve head good things about the pork belly, looks like i have to go back.

favorite downtown spot. i love this bourbon bar/restaurant. every bourbon on the menu comes as a 2 ounce pour, whether you order it mixed, neat, or on the rocks. plenty of other bourbon bars charge an extra few bucks or have shorter pours. the food is always outstanding. the shrimp and grits are a little inconsistent. i've eaten it a few times, and some are better than others. the three little pigs is always a delectable temptation. the sweet picnic slaw and bite of the pickles perfectly cut through the richness of the pork belly and bacon. my favorite new additions to the menu are the korean bbq chicken wings with kimchee and the pretzel bread and beer cheese (made with falls city pale ale). by far one of the best things i've ever eaten is the bourbon and sorghum glazed pork belly. it melts in your mouth and is served with a local fried egg and potatoes. (get it? bacon and eggs.) some of the staff is extremely knowledgeable, while others are very willing to learn the answers to your questions. informal, but fancy at the same time. the old fashioned is the best i've ever had.

really convenient downtown location. an impressive bourbon selection, as the name would suggest. the smoked brisket sandwich with caramelized onions, melty provolone and stone mustard is freaking delicious. try with the baked beans. i used to love the jalapeño cheddar grits, but i hear they're off the menu. if true, that makes me sad. overall, you won't be disappointed!

i went there for lunch. the selection is overwhelming (in a good way) as far as bourbon goes. the bacon wrapped dates are outstanding. for $50 total, a buddy and i had a manhattan, a generous pour of pritchards, the bacon wrapped dates, their misty blt (bacon cut in-house and crispy), a turkey and swiss, cheddar-jalapeño grits, and some great brussels sprouts. highly recommend each (although their manhattan is unique - chocolate bitters, their own elijah craig barrel, etc so don't expect a connectional manhattan unless you special order one). cheers!
