the shakshuka came with two poached eggs, feta cheese in a bowl of spicy tomato sauce, with hummus and tortilla bread on the side. the eggs were poached to perfection with the yolk still runny. yum!

yum yumie. tastebuds satisfied we four from near byron,orders taken quickly and not an overly long wait all worth while.lovely presentation,the scramble eggs in pastry with salmon yumie,coffee the best,thanks ross,takeaway cakes for later on.cheers from the macs down south.

lovely. i'll add my praise to all the other positive reviews for double shot. welcoming atmosphere, friendly and prompt service, good coffee and the food was excellent - smashed avo with poached eggs simple, filling and tasty. the other meals and the sweet treats in the cabinet looked equally appealing. very busy on a thursday morning and i can only imagine it being busy on a weekend as well. with good reason, i'd say. would recommend and return.

a must try. delicious, fresh and beautifully presented food. generous portions. really the best service i've experienced in ages. thanks guys, keep up the great work! will definitely visit again soon.

a tbh regular - would definitely recommend!. we had the double shots' flaky pastry with softly scrambled eggs, bacon & tomato $14.50

• tues-sun 6-3pm (brunch and opening hours)

• cap, abrisca, $3.00

• tasty food and treats. wide variety of menu items. there can be a very long wait for food during busy times during the weekend and a lineup for seating. ikea products are everywhere but they are cute furnishings. lots of locals and understandably so as it is a lovely cafe.

best breakfast in brisbane. the best coffee and breakfast and great value for money. the customer service is also excellent.

highly recommended!

my partner and i went for breakfast on sunday morning and were impressed. the food was really delicious and there was clearly attention to detail in the presentation. the portion sizes were big and the coffee was great. overall excellent value for money and worth a visit.

on a saturday lat morning we had about a 10 minute wait, it was well worth it. the coffee and food are delicious!! the staff are very friendly and i can't wait to go back!!

most welcome!. this excellent street-front café offers delicious homemade cakes and pastries, as well as lunch and breakfast meals which are wholesome, tasty, imaginative - and well-priced. all the staff are friendly and efficient.
my 'fav local' for a quick or relaxing pick-me-up!

my partner and i are fond of double shot as the service is always beautifully warm and welcoming, the food is always delicious and served in generous portion sizes, and the coffee is lovely. treat yourself to some of the delicious pastries and slices for later too, so delicious!

great service, good food, very average coffee. the service at this bustling cafe is excellent. they're flat out but remain attentive and polite at all times.

the food is above average, but not top of class.

the coffee is average, at best. cups are too large and coffee arrives just swimming in milk, which i suppose is good because milk can hide 1000 espresso sins and i suspect those were getting at least some coverage from the milk.

overall, not the amazing place that some other reviewers have found.

i suspect the coffee aspect has never been that good, from the range of coffee cups they have which just aren't what top flight coffee destinations use.

poached perfection. some friends and i went for a brunch at double shot expresso. when we arrived the only table free was littered with food. one of the employees came within a couple of minutes and cleaned away the previous clients scraps. the meal was delicious and reasonably priced. i ate the poached eggs, crushed avocado with cheese on pane. the serving was just the right size, the poached eggs were perfectly cooked at the waiter was very friendly. the first waitress i spoke to wanted nothing to do with me and acted as if i was invisible so i will give this place a 4-5 (they lost half a mark for service and half a mark for the time taken to clear the table).
