never a bad meal. whether stopping in for aburger& beer or going out with friends to dinner, it's hard to beat dots. affordable w/ great service, dots has great basics & a wonderful daily specials.

dirty, dive-y and delicious!. had to wait for a table at noon on a saturday- the place was packed, which is always a good sign. try not to look at the water pitcher when the waitress comes to fill up your glass- it's gross and so is the water. but my mushroom-swissburgerwas incredible and so were the corn and black bean cakes.

bestburgerever! two grilled cheeses with a bacon cheeseburgerplaced in the middle. yes a called toy cardiologist is in order. yumo!

hole in the wall done right!. i have had the fortune to visit this tiny slice of rock a billy-ish happiness on a few occasions being careful not to order the same thing twice. fortunately for me i hit the jackpot each time. we have a vegitarian in the family and dot's has plenty on the breakfast/brunch and lunch/dinner menus to choose from. if your looking for a swanky place to take a dinner date i'm not sure i'd recommend it but if a fella is in the mood for a flank steak or a juicyburgerand a beer and his veggie lovin' girlfriend is tagging along this is the place to go. it's all great from the pulled bbq sandwich to the baba ghanoush. it is very small inside but for me that enhances the neighborhood spot appeal. the only, and i mean only, down side to dot's is the volume. having such a small dining area and a sizeable bar keeps everyone close together but for some reason everyone speaks really loud, patrons mostly but our last waitress nearly blew our ear drums. she provided us with excellent service but she spoke to us so loudly my husband thought he was supposed to yell back at her as if it were a dot's custom. either way each time i've had the pleasure i've walked away from dot's well fed, doggie bag in hand and always with a new comical tale to tell. i'm grateful dot's is there and even more grateful to have found another great spot that is not a chain.

wonderful food. this is sort of a dive with gourmet food......bestburgeranywhere. and where do they get those yummy whole wheat buns! coconut pie is the best. pretty much everything i have ever ordered has been excellent.....

bestburgerin richmond. this little place was featured on diners, drive ins and dives on the food network so i figured that it had to be pretty good. it was absolutely delicious. we both had different burgers. they have a list of at least 20 different burgers plus you can build your own so you can't go wrong. those burgers were so juicy and delicious that i am declaring dot's back inn as the bestburgerin richmond. and that is a bold statement because they have a lot of competition in the town.
but if burgers are not your thing, never fear. the menu is rather extensive and has plenty for you vegetarians as well. we can't wait to go back again!

great dive. went there with a few co-workers and it's a neat little place in an older neighborhood (1940's-50's). very eclectic menu with some original items. i ended up with a spin on a traditionalburgerthat was good but not great. others had the mediterranean pie and black bean quesadilla which both looked great.

i would go back to try some of their original dishes.

awful.. i went once and it was as poor a dining experience as i could imagine. my sandwich came the wrong way but every sign in there says, "no whining" and "this isn'tburgerking, you can't have it your way". i wish i had gone toburgerking.
