coming from india you can't really expect top notch indian food here in the us but dosa hut proved to be a decent option to rely on.

i headed over to dosa hut on saturday and sunday morning for breakfast and was surprised to see ample number of people waiting to be seated in the small cozy restaurant.

we ordered for andhra karam dosa, podi dosa, badam milk, idli vada and cut mirchi on both days together. so here goes my review.

andhra karam dosa - this was the best of the lot for me, had ample amount of karam applied to the dosa in a paste form. this along with the accompanying sambar and chutney was good to have. rating 4/5

podi dosa - though the taste of podi was good and the dosa was good the combination didnt really strike well. may be because the dosa was abittoo dry the podi was just flying out of the dosa and didn't stick too well. rating 2.5/5

badam milk - abittoo dilute for my taste. i guess the milk had to be boiled abitmore to increate the consistency. else it was a decent option. rating 3/5

idli vada - the idli and vada were decent enough but because of the sambar and chutney the entire dish turned out to be good. a standard and decent option but could have been better. rating 3.5/5

cut mirchi - well made! the mirchi (may be banana peppers) used wasn't too spicy luckily and was stuffed with diced onions and tomatoes topped with abitof coriander and lime juice extract. one of the best tasting indian dish i had in us. rating 4/5

overall it's a decent place for someone missing south indian food.
