we went for dinner on saturday night. we shared the spin dip and i had the #1 with a tamale, a beef taco and a cheese enchilada. my friends got the taco salad and the three taco meal. all of the food was delicious, the service was great and the margaritas really hit the spot.

taco makers take note. i get excited just thinking about this place. they have some of my favorite tacos here and they are made the way i feel tacos should be made. (with cilantro and onions) they have a wide variety of different things to try. the first thing i look for when going to a new place is new things to try and here they succeed. try it you will love it!!!

best authentic soft tacos!. this place is the perfect little hole in the wall place where you can get great food for cheap. went today and tried the pork, beef tongue, and beef head soft tacos. they were all very fresh and flavorful and the service was quick. i must say the beef tongue was my favorite and you should definitely try it if you're feeling adventurous. i will be going back soon to try the tamales and maybe a few more tacos. ;)

your place for a street taco fix. tried a marinated pork sopa, a pastor soft taco and a tongue soft taco. the tacos were better than the sopa. stick with the soft taco-a true mexican street taco. mytfine!

almost houston, almost!. this is the closest thing to a taqueria i have seen since leaving texas. i went in for a quick snack post lunch. i had the lengua taco and a tamale. the taco was served in soft corn tortillas with enough soft tender tongue to make me full. the tamale came with white cheese sauce. never seen that before, but it was tastey. the pork was tender and the masa was cooked perfectly. i can't remember how much it cost, just how good it was. while i was eating the fire dept, truck and all rolled in to mow through lunch. you know if the fire dept. eats here, it has to be really good!! it's a small no frills fiberglass booth type of place. just like the taquerias in texas. go here for the food, not the atmosphere. you won't be disapointed!

great authentic tacos. the tacos here are very close to the ones that i ate on the street in mexico. the pastor tacos are very tasty, as are the chicken ones. it is a little pricey for what you get, but i think that it's worth it every once in a while. don't bother taking little kids there though, they might end up deaf from the extremely loud music.

try the head. a fabulous little satellite location for the main restaurant just up the road. the smaller menu here focuses on tacos (doubled-up soft shell or homemade hard shell), of which there are many choices (including chicken, beef, pork, and more exotic choices like beef's tongue or head and tripe). there are a few other items, like burritos and tortas, with rice and refried beans as sides. i'm guessing they do mainly take-out, as seating is limited (they have just a few booths). sign says they're open 7:00 am until 10:00 pm every day. that early opening time will be good for those seeking a post-binge bowl of menudo. (and yes, i had a beef head taco, and yes it was just lovely!)
