old school seafood. nothing fancy but great place to get a big 'ol seafood platter!!

food was dry and salty and too much pepper and food was overpriced and service was half done . i remember when this place had great food and service.

firstly i want to say i server austin was great!.. but however my party waited for two hours just for appetizers. then maybe another hour and a half for entrées that were served cold. we all were starving and disappointed, and the manager rene was horrible. he apologized for everything and stated we'd be discounted, then returned to say whatever we didn't pay our server austin would.. i can go on and on but rene was unprofessional, they kitchen sucked, everything was just bad. my first time experience on my bday was horrible 😫

i usually write long winded reviews...but i'll keep it short and simple.....damn great service....damn good food. eat here. the steak is killer.

i had the crab dinner for $25 this has to be stopped .. the stuffed crab and sautéed crab was the best.. the crab in the gumbo was awesome ..now for the worst part the little servings came in 3 little bowls it was spinach and artichoke with crab which was horrible and the last one topped with cheese was tasty on the inside but mediocre and thrown together. the sautéed crab was in the middle omg when i put that in my potato it was delish!! i gave dons a thumbs up tho .. i'll try the crawfish dinner next! oysters were scrumptious!

review. the charbroiled oysters were absolutely delicious, gumbo was delicious and service was efficient. couldn't ask for nothing more.

lousey service. there at 8pm 4-9-14. food was absolutely excellent. service was lousey. server was paige!!!

very disappointed!!!!!. ate there today for the very first time. it was horrible! one of my younger sister's came in from ohio so we decided to go to don' s food was bad.i'm not saying bad as i did not like. i'm saying crayfish in seafood salad was bad!! staff acted like okay what do u want. brought 4 more new salads less crayfish had they nerve to charge us the same amount. managers take on this was employee did not inform her about issue.and now i in all good faith, can not sympathise with staff at fast food or restaurant's complaint about wages they don't seem to care about the people who pay their salarieswhich is us the public!!!

very slippery bar area. i entered a post describing an extremely bad fall in don's (metairie) bar area last week due to slippery floors. it appeared.... then disappeared. do you not post about dangers in dining establishments as well as poor management as a warning to other patrons ?

food was terrible. the service was worse. and it is expensive compared to the quality of food. way too overpriced! the gumbo is awful. go to houston's! we have never had a bad meal their. and it's always great service.

no more. the food is okay, more than likely... it's frozen. i didn't mind going at first, but the last time i went the service was pretty bad. the waitress acted like she was not interested in serving us. two times we ended up getting up and leaving.

i had a nice dinning here in dons sea food hut. the waitress was really nice and polite. thank you i will come back soon.

great exspereince. i love to go to restaurants and eat at the bar because its so much more personable. i love to have someone to talk to while i wait for my food and the best part is to watch the bartender make drinks its my own personal show!! i was there on a sunday morning about 2 weeks ago and i have never had a such a wonderful bartender!!!!!!!!!!!! i told her what kind of drink i was looking for and she knew right away what to make me and it was delicious. she was very friendly with everyone at the bar joking around laughing just a great personality. i ordered my food and it was ready in no time and i didn't have to ask for a thing she knew exactly what i needed for my meal. i finished my lunch and she offered me desert and i was so full and she said are you sure because we have this awesome white choc bread pudding with a rum sauce. she sold me at awesome so i ordered it and well in her words it was so awesome!!!! if i lived here i would go there every sunday for lunch just to see her beautiful smile and watch her make drinks. so if you're taking a trip there go on a sunday morning and look for the girl with curly hair.
