amazing desserts! excellent range, presentation and a price point that is not too high or unreasonable. just loved the taste of the desserts we tried. will visit again. ambience can be improved though!

this bakery came recommended by one of my foodie friend’s. he never steers me wrong so i made a beeline straight for this place. from the outside it looks interesting with a massive flower display. enter and you join a long queue of people ordering both to eat in and takeaway. plenty of seating and i spotted a separate room that was decorated quite nicely but think it was for their afternoon tea service. order and pay at the counter and they’ll bring out any drinks and food that has to be prepared. they hand you over any cakes you order. service is friendly.

as it was lunch i wanted something savoury and got the turkey croque monsieur. it was cheesy on top with a gooey white sauce filling stuffed with turkey. not for someone with a small appetite. i also couldn’t not order some dessert with really pretty and creative cakes on display. i had the coconut hazelnut religieuse. choux buns filled with hazelnut pastry cream and coconut ganache. so rich but definitely worth every kg you will stack on. the coffee is by the gentlemen baristas. i had a mocha and was a lovely blend.

pineapple and banana cronut from the infamous da ..
did you know that dominique ansel does a cronut flavor of the month and the menu is soo dynamic. this one is surely a bakery that you shouldn't miss. however, it is a little expensive and sit down meal costs more than a takeaway for this particular dessert.

the food was good but there was a piece of metal in the food and it wasn't taken very seriously by the staff! will not be visiting this place again

been hearing a lot about their cruffin but i personally found it a bit dry hard and chewy.
still it was of high quantity and enjoyed my stay.
the canele was good and well perfected.

the inventor of the cronut and world's best pastry chef 2017 has this london store that isn't the most conveniently located (ok, it isn't that far away but i don't go to victoria very often) where the wares are on sale and display. and they all look delicious i might add. lots of people ogle and decide what to choose and how much to spend. funnily enough the cronuts aren't (or weren't this day) on display at the counter and so i didn't see anyone in front of me order them. silly them.

didn't quite live up to the hype unfortunately. ordered the chocolate chip cookie shot which was a really nice, unique dessert that i would get again. however, the frozen marshmallow ice cream was a bit small considering the price and far too sickly sweet

friendly service, delicious food, what’s there not to like? the croque monsieur was delicious; the creamy cheese went well with the crunchy deliciousness of the bread. their dka is flaky and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just lovely. the cronut was dense, crunchy, creamy, and sweet with a bit of tartness. the cookie shot was just okay but i really enjoyed the way they served it. i would go back for more. yum!

the desserts were too sweet. the staff at the cashier counter wasn't too happy about us taking a little time to decide since we were newbies . in all and all the place is over rated. we ended up getting much nicer desserts at peggy porschen which is about 200m away from ansel bakery

this bakery is over the top! each item is splendid in form and looks like a masterpiece. but they don’t sacrifice flavor. the textures and flavors and well thought out and design by a master baker! the “after the rain” is an amazing piece of art that tastes wonderful. it was my favorite and i highly recommend it. it is a light creamy texture and looks like drops of rain on top with a lady bug hiding under a leaf. the flavor is very fresh, like after a rain and the light crunch of the crust reminds you of the sounds at the end of a rain with light drops of rain hitting the ground. it was truly amazing. they are famous for the cronut, which is a cross between a croissant and a donut. it was filed with an orange marmalade type filling (filling changes frequently). it was yummy! i would come here again on next visit to london.
