go during happy hour. we only really go to domenica during their happy hour (3-6pm, 7 days a week). great prices on pizzas and drinks during that time. so price point during that time is perfect. the pizzas are tasty and knowing you are getting it at a reasonable $6.50 helps. a walk through the roosevelt, maybe a drink at the sazerac bar makes this a good early evening outing....if you are in the mood for pizza! we have had inconsistent service here...so this is when appropriate tipping depending on service you receive comes into play. i always find it hard to leave a small tip even if service wasn't great (i am not that cutthroat and demanding of a patron), but i have to say it's been necessary here on two occasions i can remember. when will a server ever learn if you don't? don't be afraid to leave constructive criticism on the comment line...hmm, i might need to watch my next pizza.

best pizza, charcuterie...great italian!. domenica does a fantastic pizza....easily the best in the city. topped with the best quality ingredients, these can make a meal by themselves. limit yourself to those, though, and you'll be missing fantastic charcuterie and cheese selection. the antipasti it's served with is first rate. pastas are great. literally have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. for the best deal in new orleans, go eat here between 3-6 for 1/2 price pizza and wine...you'll leave happy and full with lots of money left in your wallet. my favorite of besh's restaurant with the obvious exception of his flagship. very highly recommended.

i was very put off by the menu, at first. our server, however, was amazing! i asked for recommendations and ordered everything he suggested! i lived the stuffed blossoms and the goat was excellent! i ended up leaving the restaurant with a big smile and a very full belly!

really enjoyed this restaurant from top to bottom. the design, layout and decor are great. comfortable yet modern and trendy. there is a cheese bar which is excellent. the dishes are very reasonable and tasty. my favorite thing about domenica is the large menu and option to get a small or large entree. i love the ability to get a smaller portion. the only negative about my dining experience is the noise level. it is very loud in the restaurant and it is hard to hear your friends and waitor(tress). the noise caused a miscommunication with my drink order. overall, great experience.

great gourmet italian!. i was a little dubious at first, only because i had heard some not great reviews. maybe i had low expectations, but i loved it. the antipasta plate was awesome--especially the deep fried bread pockets and lardo. the burratta was creamy and fresh and my truffle risotto was extremely rich and decadent. both of my friends got the lasagna which was huge for 1 person and a really tasty variation on the traditional. the service was wonderful and went above and beyond, the bartender created a special drink for my friend, the maitre de introduced himself and checked on us and the waiter was so helpful and full of recommendations. the decor is not typical new orleans, but the inside is comfortable and great looking--very polished and upscale, but without being tacky or over the top. even the price seemed reasonable for the amount and quality of the food--around $145 (with tip) for 3 people including antipasta plate, 3 pastas, and primi, as well as a few drinks. i am really surprised by the negative reviews, but some of it may be that this is not typical italian comfort food, but a gourmet version. while i thought the price was reasonable for the quality and quantity, this is not huge plates of stick-to-your-ribs italian food. i loved it and will return, hopefully soon!

great place. i am a chef and have gone to domenica since it opened and have always enjoyed it. have never had bad service curtis and valerie are great. food always good the whole fish at dinner is fantastic. remember it is food just like other restaurants and cooked by humans not something god sent down by angles so don't expect anything different but this is good food using fresh product and well worth the trip.

pizza!. if you go, i recommend trying the simplest item on the menu - the pizza with mozzarella and fresh basil. simple and amazing. enjoy it.

good but slow. the look and feel of this restaurant is very upscale but the clientele was not very dressed up. i had a prosciutto panini for a weekday lunch with dressed greens on the side and a limonata to drink. the service was slllloooow.

besh's worst restaurant. there are 25 italian restaurants in nola better than domenica, but only a couple are at the same price level. that is unacceptable. the only thing worth getting is the pizza and even that has question marks thanks to the price.

happy hour happy bellies. we had two pizza's and 4 bellinis for only 30 bucks. ginger bellini is the best- tastes like a ginger ale... pizza was delicious... great place for lunch!

inside was very well decorated too!

uniquely good. go before a saints game and catch the half price pizza and half price cocktails! who can fail with that. otherwise the food here is great and very different. those who like cheese pizza - stay away. not for you. but if you like a little bit of adventure in your food go for it.

pretty good pizza. take out pizza better than pizza hut or dominos, but nothing exceptional.
