one of the best restaurants in charlotte! we enjoyed everything. we stopped by for lunch and had the brisket sandwich, fried oysters, baked pimento cheese, kale salad w/shrimp, and the crab cakes! every dish was superb. service was first class.

my wife and i have eaten here many times and the food is always excellent! it can be loud at times, but overall we enjoy the atmosphere. we love the fact that the restaurant supports local food and it is always fresh.

this edition of excited about eating takes us to a large mixed community in the south park area of charlotte, to dogwood southern table & bar. this contemporary eating establishment offers “elevated southern cuisine” using in-house creations from local and sustainable sources. ample free parking garages

went here for lunch. nice atmosphere staff as friendly and attentive. mixed reviews on the food. some at the table looked very good. i had the beet salad which was not good at all. the candied walnuts consisted mostly of sugar with a tiny nut inside that actually tasted stale. i added the crab cakes which were almost all filler with a hint of crab. at $18 i kind of expected more. maybe i just selected the wrong entree. may try it again but not sure. definitely would not recommend it.

truely amazing! the food was second to none. the depth of flavor in the dishes were fantastic. be sure to try the bacon jam! the service was amazing as well. our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgable. we talked with him throughout or meal and he was extremely attentive and made us feel like we were the only people in the place. the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the dishes.

very cool atmosphere set up by warm and inviting colors and antique/rustic decor. brunch is superb, but service from the hostess and wait staff lacks. on a sunday mid-afternoon, eating brunch, the crowd is little to none and staff is hardly ever around to refill water glasses or to take care of tables. none of the staff working is personable or engaging. i would be interested to see a different crowd with a different server.
