what an experience. started with the famous meat fruit along with the lobster/cucumber soup which lived up to every expectation. next came the celery, chicken in lettuce and turbot. the chicken was succulent and the turbot literally tasted like heaven. we ended the meal with the tipsy cake and liquid nitrogen ice cream. couldn't have asked for a better end. this place isn't just a restaurant it's an experience. on a side note, amazingservicethe waiters were friendly, polite and so helpful!

i really wanted to like this, it was a special occasion and it was such a beautiful venue, but it was just so underwhelming. positive first, theserviceis truly high class, staff are well trained and diligent.. but the food from entree, main to dessert wasn't something i'd pay $10 for let alone that price.

it smells nice, well presented but it was bland, and unmemorable. every dish was like that, even their more famous ones, i can't help but feel it's being able to say you were there more than the food that accounts for the high rating. plenty of other fine dining places deliver all this plus food taste. this is a place of presentation and no substance.

all the dishes were so good and perfectly executed. we also loved that each dish was quite unique and stylistically different from other (french) fine dining places we are used to. our favorite dishes were oxtopus starter and pigeon main dish as well as the pineapple dessert!

wow, what can i say that hasn't already been said. everything was impeccable. the food was incredible,servicewas flawless, ambience was warm and cozy. even though it's a posh restaurant in a really fancy hotel they made us feel very welcome and relaxed. can't recommend highly enough.

pretty popular place, good food, goodservicebut pretty rigid. asked for a particular salad which was served along with halibut but was refused.

i went to dinner last month with four colleagues and our expectations were high, we all work in a kitchen as well so we were quite excited about this experience.

theservicewas really good. fast and efficient with the waiters and sommelier always giving us the attention we needed and giving good recommendations about the wine . we all had a glass of bolllinger rose that was really good.

everyone on the table liked their food .
i had the meat fruit for starter then the pork chop and the sambocade for dessert. the chicken liver parfait flavour and consistency mixed with the grilled bread on the meat fruit was amazing . the pork chop was perfectly cooked and i don’t think you can much better quality on pork meat than that . the garnish was also really good. the sambocade was a good dessert without being to sweet .

it was quite an experience to have dinner at my favourite chef's restaurant.
elegant but not overpowering ambience.
it is a 100 seater restaurant and they do about 170 for dinner and about same for lunch.
initially the start ofservicealbeit slow but picked up as the evening went on.
the meat fruit was the star of the show.
the steak perfectly done
the cucumber hearts very tangy and played tango in mouth with the acidity .
oh the lamb saddle had pink meat and was succulent and juicy .
the nitro ice cream gimmicky was the only thing that was modern and brought out the children in us adults
the slowserviceat the outset actually disturbed couple of members of our party .

i can’t believe it has taken me this long to visit dinner. part of the problem is that obtaining a reservation (on short notice) is tricky, in no part due to the restaurant being listed on the world’s 50 best restaurants list. the other reason is that it is easier for me to get to bray (also known as heston land) where i have the choice of dining at the crown, the hind’s head or the fat duck. if i wanted the whole heston experience, the fat duck was the only option while if i wanted something casual i could just as easily go to the hind’s head. dinner sits somewhere in between casual and fine dining. after all it was opened with the concept of what it would be like if heston would open a bistro. you have formal, fine-diningservicebut at the same time you are still able to order a ‘simple’ plate of steak and chips. however, after many years of ‘not bothering’, we decided to pop in one sunday afternoon for a lazy lunch.

easily the one of the finest dining experiences. waiters were synchronised win delivery of plates.servicewas impeccable. food was to die for... as everyone says try the meat fruit - do. don't like pate, but this blew my mind. not very "heatony" but enough scientific flair to know it's his restaurant.
