denny's

great first time experience. ordered steak and eggs with bottomless iced tea.  asked for the steak to be well done, and got medium-rare. not happy with that, but i still tried it. thick and juicy sirloin steak, just didn't get what i wanted. eggs were good, the top was not too runny (sunny side up). the toast was too thin, but well buttered and well toasted. fries were fine, very average and not too salty (just how i like it, didn't request for them to tone down the salt). iced tea was very watered down with the ice still solid. i would leave this review at 3.0 for the food alone but the atmosphere was diner-like and unique, making it 3.5. 

ps: our waitress led us to our seats but forgot to give us the menus, had to come back and ask for the menus. very awkward.

denny's is a good american diner- their food caters "middle class" americans, providing good food at relatively splurge prices. my good denny's experience abroad plus the hype got me excited for what the franchises had to offer. to put my feelings succinctly, my experience was disappointing. the denny's managed to capture the look and the feel with the same environment and large screen televisions, but the food was just saddening. their ribs were relatively cold and weren't soft, their chicken was relatively bland but was at least fresh, their arroz caldo wasn't that good and to be honest, razon's was better tasting. the biggest disappointment was their burger which was cold and soggy hidden under bacon and sauce. definitely a letdown and one of the more disappointing burgers of the year.

their serving sizes are good but i honestly did not feel like the food or the service was good enough for a return visit. hopefully, the bgc branch is better because this needs a lot of work in service (attentiveness) and food temperature (almost everything was cold).

they opened yesterday and it seems they kicked off in a right way. we were greeted by the welcoming host , guided us in our table, including "walking & talking" to us .. she also offered us high chair for my baby ....she told us that our servers will be with us shortly,,, came the server , he introduced himself to us , ask us if its our first time in the restaurant and he guided us in the menu.. and even suggested his favorites... food came in very timely , servers check back on us , if we're ok with the food we ordered, overall we are very satisfied with our experience.. good food, good service! keep it up guys, kudos to the opening team , we will be back! :-)
