yesterday, i ordered this place soups, chicken or tuna salad and soda . chicken or tuna salad was tasty and delicious . service was very good.
delivery was right time . i was impressed for delivery before the time delivered food.

pretty good food, great music. friday night dinner was pretty good. solid, but nothing to write home about food wise.
but the staff is incredibly friendly and the jazz excellent. nice local spot. little rock is lucky to have such a place. if you are in town from out of town, as we were, and are stumped and not thrilled to head to the commercial places downtown, then consider this place. it's byob. thanks for a great dinner and terrific music.

i love dave's place!!!. every dish i've had from dave's place has been delicious but my favorite is their lasagna. it's creamy, cheesy, meaty, and bursting with flavor. just talking about it makes me want some! oh and definitely try their desserts---yum!!!

my dad, little rock native chef dave williams, opened the doors to this family owned restaurant december 20, 1993 becoming a staple business lunch spot in the heart of downtown. serving soups, salads, and sandwiches during the weekday and flexing his culinary muscles on friday nights. i may be a bit biased, but this place is hard to beat.

jazzy diner, first impression. this is not your usual friday night music hall, far from it. this is a downtown lunch eatery (open for lunches only during the work week). but for friday night only it is transformed with an upscale menu that varies each week. the food is beyond good! family run with dad the chef. we so enjoyed our meal, from the salads to the entrees. the rolls were unique. the cheesecake was wonderful. my wife's pork loin was delicious as was my catfish.

then we get to the music, jazz, not elevator canned music or hard rock, but jazz. the musicians are family and friends and play good jazz until closing at 9:30.

this place will be high on our list for friday evening meals from here on.

the desserts change each day, but what doesn't change is the old-style homemade quality. such it is with the key lime pie. don't expect fresh flown-in key limes for the job -- this is strictly from the can, two or three cans perhaps including some sweetened condensed milk. do expect smooth, fragrant flavor, a key lime pie like it's always been made around these parts -- thrown together from ingredients kept on the shelf.

cheddar rotel bread?!!?!!. i am relatively new to little rock and just began working near downtown so have been trying all the various lunch spots. dave's place is without question the best sandwich i've had in all of little rock - there is literally more meat than bread. and speaking of the bread...today i tried the andrewwood on cheddar rotel and it was incredibly delicious. great value, great food, and if you enjoy supporting "mom & pop" places instead of chains than you can't go wrong here.

friday nights...biggest secret in little rock. the friday night dinner menu changes weekly and is always fabulous!!! the live jazz is excellent! service is great, fast and friendly. bring your own bottle of wine and start a perfect weekend. the people "in-the-know" are tight lipped to avoid causing a crowd. casual atmosphere that is unlike any other place in town.......thanks dave!

this is one of the few remaining family owned restaurants in town that has the entire family working the lunch and dinner shifts. you get great food, and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere cultivated by dave and his family. anyone who appreciates an authentic, no-frills dining experience would love dave's place. be sure to get an iced tea and the dave's special sandwich. yum!

the food is great, but the atmosphere is gross. apparently, dave's entire family hangs out in the restaurant all day. there was a training potty in the women's restroom. that's just nasty.

i am always impressed with the quality and taste of dave's place. dave has the skill to make even the items i normally don't like taste delicous. it is inexpensive and friendly. it is always a treat to eat at dave's place.
