daq's has good food but the management andserviceis horrible. waited 15 mins to get a waitress than 3 of them fought over who's table it was. after placing our order 45 mins and no food. they said they had a bunch of to go orders. y'all might want to feed your in house customers or give them a warning it's gonna take an hour for their food. as i was leaving (with my now to go order) the table next to us who had waited an hour and 15 mins food came and it was all undercooked! will not being going back .

good food /service/ not expensive. i had the grilled chicken sandwich; was excellent !!!servicewas good and prices were great. great "pub atmosphere".

service greatly improved!!!!!. today the ttott crew descended upon daq’s of monroe, and i must say that i was pleasantly surprised. for those foodie friends who have never ventured to daq’s, it’s located conveniently on forsythe avenue, in between trio’s and chase bank.

first, i will set the “mood” - this eatery possesses a sports bar/pub type atmosphere with ample adult beverage signage and adorable wait staff for the young men of the town. daq’s menu is simple consisting of burgers, wings, strips, salads and appetizers. they have a nice selection of sauces and their scratch made onion rings are fabulous.

ttott’s personal favorite menu item is the grilled chicken, whether it’s on a salad or between the bread of your choice, the flavor is there without any sauce/dressing. today’s outing provided the ttott crew with grilled chicken sandwiches, with sauces on the side, one fabulous grilled chicken salad, flavorful chicken strips, crispy fries and mouth watering onion rings. our waitress was very hospitable, courteous, and efficient; and this, ttott friends is where i must make a brief interjection - in the past, i have been hesitant to return to daq’s because of theservice(or lack of) that i and my guests have received. now having said this, again i will reiterate how pleasantly surprised i was to have had such an attentive young lady attending to the ttott crew! this young lady gave 110% in her customerserviceefforts and it gleamed through how much she enjoyed what she does!

from start to fabulous finish, i must say that i have been given rejuvenated joy with daq’s and their service. based on this visit, the ttott crew will most certainly be revisiting daq’s again in the near future.

daq's, i won't be back..... a few weeks back an office cohort and i ventured back into the realm of daq's and i could not wait to share my new found treasure of wonderful food with my friend. "waiting" was an understatement. the young lady who finally noticed us, took our "water" drink order, and vanished off to attend to other customers (which is completely acceptable). once she returned, she took our grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken salad order (not difficult, right? wrong). after waiting for 30 minutes for our food to be delivered, we flagged down our waitress and inquired as to the disposition of our meal and were told that the "kitchen is backed up". okay. so as the dining room thins out, and people who were seated long after we arrived were getting more complex orders of burgers, fries, appetizers, etc., and after we had waited for 45 minutes for (again) a grilled chicken sandwich (no side) and a grilled chicken salad (chicken and a variety of uncooked vegetables) we got up and left! had it not been for those orders for people who came in 10 to 15 minutes after my cohort and i had placed ours, we would have most likely "pressed forward" with our wait, but sadly, either the wait staff were oblivious to what was actually transpiring (and/or hadn't actually turned in our ticket at all), or the kitchen staff couldn't keep orders straight, either way, no matter how good the food may have been, it's certainly not worth the trouble of being ignored! it's certainly a shame that something that started out so wonderful, ended like a car hitting a brick wall. on the parker spoon review, i remove all prior accolades and award daq's 1 spoon, and only out of sheer pity. shame on you! :(

update to prior review. the actual manager contacted me after reading my review (even giving me his cell phone number) and apologized for the horrible experience that i had with my coworkers. he invited us to give them another try and we did for lunch today. theservicewas exceptional and the food was great. i truly appreciate his response to my post and his desire to give us a better experience, which he did. i will be back!

first and last visit. i went to daqs for lunch today with some coworkers. when we first arrived, our waitress took our drink order and brought them out very quickly. she also took our food order very quickly. that is where the quickness ended. an hour after our order was taken, the appetizer finally arrived. i asked to speak to a manager. right after that, our food came out and the same waitress that i spoke to about the manager came out and said that the manager had stepped into the kitchen, but he was giving us half off of our ticket. the explanation for the delay was that they get a lot of call in orders from doctors' offices that they have to fix. that's great, but since we were in the restaurant and had been waiting for so long shouldn't our orders have been fixed before those? also, there were other customers who ordered after us who received their orders well before we did.
i completely understand being busy, but an hour wait is ridiculous. what was even more ridiculous is that the manager himself would not come to our table. he didn't "step into the kitchen" until after she told him we wanted to see him. we appreciated the discounted meal, but a little courtesy would have been much more appreciated.

food was ok, we had to add salt/tony's to all of it. the mac & cheese was dry & not mixed. the fries had 0 flavor. theservicewas slow & the waitress didn't really do a good job. wasn't impressed and wouldn't come back.

i love daqs, the food is good and theserviceis nice but the seating area can be cramped at times and the only thing stoping this place from having been one of my favorite places to go are the prices that have greatly risen since my first visit.

theserviceand the food was horrible. the manager there was very unprofessional. i will never go there again. the grill salad had like 3 pieces of meat and whole head of lettuce.

i ate here a few weeks ago and was amazed!! this place was packed, andservicewas still great! our drinks stayed full and our server was constantly around to check on us. our food was delicious, i've never chosen a bad thing off their menu, and owner/management has always been accessible and around to handle problems. i read through these reviews and find myself confused.... i wonder if the people who left these reviews even attempted to voice their concerns to their server or even management... or even the owners, which i see in there quite often. problems can only be addressed if they are voiced to a direct source like a server or management. i feel that we as a society are grossly abusing the power of social media, and could all use a little "old school" manners/problem solving techniques in our tech savy lives, instead of hiding behind our phones and bashing things the restaurant has not been given a chance to properly address. great locally owned restaurant which i will continue to frequent, and rest assured if i ever do have a problem i will be sure to contact management before ever posting anything negative online. i believe we can all benefit from being more direct with our problems.

i recently had a girls night at daqs, and all i can say about it is wow! the food was incredible, the atmosphere was fabulous, and the drinks were priced fairly and mixed well. the bar and restaurant were packed but our server did not miss a beat, she was friendly, sweet, and checked on us several times. we will be back, that was by far one of the best girls nights we've had in town.

been going here for months and since they got rid of a few waiteess i dont like going here. one girl in particular i think taylor use to give me perfectserviceand get it made the way i like but i dont see her anymore. but the food is good but id rather soend my money somewhere who cares how i like my food.

best burger in monroe. get it on a jalapeno bun. yeah, theservicecan get spotty when the place is packed, but it's never been that bad for me. i've also called ahead and picked up via the drive-thru. handy. they even gave my dog a treat. we love daq's. we've taken friends and guests from out of town several times and it's been awesome every time.

why is the owners do not get that hiring young cute girls who suck atservicewill kill them? food is awesome, great addition to bossier. our bartender/waitress sat on the bar with her back to us texting the whole time.... get some servers!

the burgers are great but theserviceis terrible. i've been there several times and theservicewas ok at best. the girls seem to pay more attention to tables with guys that they can flirt with. i went with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and there was only one or two other tables there. we asked our waitress to give us another minute to look at the menu and she disappeared for about 15 minutes. we were just about to go ask someone to take our order when she showed up. my boyfriend jokingly said we thought she forgot about us and she laughed and said "well yeah i kind of did." as a server myself i was shocked that she really just told a table that she expects to tip her that she forgot about them even though the restaurant was nearly empty. once our food came out we realized our bacon cheeseburger didn't have bacon on it but she never came over to check on us until we were done eating and ready to go. overall the food is good but theserviceneeds a lot of work.

bad service. my husband and i went to try the new restaurant thursday night. we walked in and the waitress told us to have a seat whereever we would like. so we we sat down and was observing all the changes they have made to the old burger king. very nice place i might add. however we sat there 12 mins and noone waited on us or asked us for our drink order. we were very disappointed in theservicenot to mention the waitresses hair was down and not pulled back like it should be. the owner or manager even walked right by our table and saw us holding our menus up and saw that we did not have drinks, yet he did not speak a word to us or tell his staff to take care of our table. we were so discouraged that we walked out of the restaurant as he (owner/manager) saw us leaving not a word was said to us. as an ex-restaurant owner i find this very offensive. i totally believe in supporting the home town restaurants in our area and this one will not be on my list to return to.

the only place i've ever tipped at a drive-thru is at sonic because the servers physically bring you your order either by walking, skating and occasionally even running. they work rain or shine, hot or cold. 4 of the last 5 times we have picked up our order through the drive-thru window at daqs we've either a) been asked incredulously "you're not leaving a tip?" or b) been insulted when asking for our change. as in "seriously, you want your change?" this is the only restaurant in monroe, ever for that matter, that i have encountered this problem. i always tip for averageserviceand overtip for excellentservicebecause i know waiters/waitresses earn very little but what am i tipping for at the drive-thru window? if there is some elaborate behind the scenes work i'm not aware of at daqs drive-thru? i'd like to know because i would've tipped. that won't be happening since i won't be frequenting daqs again. i rarely write reviews for anything but daqs drive-thru staff is so rude and insulting i felt i had no choice but to write a review. once or twice i'll give a place a second chance. but 4 times? no thanks.
