pizza mostly just crust. just got my $8 special 13" pizza with pep and mushrooms.
i thought iordereda pizza, not a loaf of bread.
the outside crust was 2" thick and well done which left approx an 8" pizza area for toppings and the toppings were sort of there... i could not find the mushrooms.
bottom line... minimum toppings, 2" border crust.. what pizza was there was good but do not recommend...
my wife and i went away hungry after eating our 13" (8") pizza. we left the hard dry crust.

where's the lettuce?. i'm watching carbs so iordereda buffalo chicken salad and i was hungry so i got the large. the waitress said that both sizes came with 2 bread sticks. it cane out with taco chips all over and the bread sticks were huge bow shaped things out of fluffy white bread. worse, there was hardly any veges,only a little lettuce. there was a fair amount of chicken strips slathered in hot sauce. why do they call that a salad?

bad experience. got a $20 for $10 takeout coupon from livingsocial so i thought i'd try danny boys pizza.ordereda mac and cheese potato chip pizza and a chicago pizza. cost me $20 bucks for $30 worth of pizza. when i arrived i was sent to the bar to pick up my order. there was one sever at the bar. i noticed two pizzas sitting at the end of the bar and told the server i thought those were mine. she said she'd be right with me. she proceeded to serve a few other customers at the bar 1st then was in and out of the kitchen a couple times. then she read and sent a text from her phone. then finally got to me 5 minutes later. i paid her and then picked the pizzas up off the bar. the bottom pizza box was soaked with some liquid that was obviously sitting on the bar when the pizzas were placed there. i didn't have time to complain or wait for another pizza so i took it and left hoping it didn't soak through to the inside of the box. wrong! got home and half the box was soaked through to the inside. didn't eat that half of the pizza. i did try a piece of the unsoaked half (chicago pizza) and it was good. the mac and cheese potato chip would have been ok if they didn't load it up with rosemary. the overwhelming rosemary taste ruined what otherwise might have been a decent pizza. i doubt that i will eat at danny boys again.

be prepared for long waits, even when not busy.. my boyfriend and i went on a sunday evening and waited for approximately 20 minutes to get a table. it didn't look too busy when we sat down. it took our waitress over 10 minutes to come to our table to get our drink orders. we wanted to order fried mozzarella for an appetizer, but were told they were out of the cheese. i found it odd that an italian restaurant was out of mozzarella cheese for cheese sticks. we insteadorderedgarlic bread. when she came to get our order, my boyfriend wanted to get the pauly walnuts sub sandwich, which has onion rings, fried mozzarella and chicken on it. of course they were out of the mozzarella, so he couldn't order that. after another 20 minutes, our appetizer still had not come out. come to find out b/c of a computer problem, the order was never sent to the kitchen. i told her to cancel the appetizer and just bring out the food. when we finally did get our food, it was really good. the portions were good sized. weordered2 different kinds of their woogie sandwiches. the menu is really big and offers lots of different choices. however, i will most likely not be returning. the service was less to be desired and it took way too long to even acknowledge we were even there. several waitresses and waiters saw us sitting there with no drinks. even the manager was too busy texting on his cell phone to care.

eat at your own risk. two of us went to danny boy's for lunch. weorderedbreadsticks and a 6 slice pizza to share. our server brought the pizza, said "enjoy your lunch" and walked away. it was then that we noticed there were only 5 slices to the pie. a few minutes later someone came out of the kitchen looking for us and said that a piece of our pizza had fallen on the floor and they were making us a new one (which of course never appeared). who would want to eat the first one after that comment? it looked all shoved back together in the first place. why would you even bring it out - just come out and apologize for the delay and say it will be a few more minutes, that there was a problem in the kitchen. the waitress had to know what happened and she never said a word. service was awful, the pizza was gross. i called the next day just to relay the story to the manager. he insisted 3 times that he wanted to send me a gift certificate to come back so i finally gave him my address. guess what? just like the replacement pizza, it never arrived. moral of the story: always count your pizza slices when it comes out of the kitchen, because they couldn't care any less.......

awful. i went to danny boys for the first time recently, after being told that their chicago pizza compares to giordano's in chicago. it was awful! the italian sausage that comes on the pie was so overwhelming i had to take most of mine off. the cheese was non-existent. both my husband and i detested this food. as an additional complaint, iorderedit for carryout and was told it would be 25-30 mins. i got there around 25 minutes and proceeded to wait an additional 20 mins for my order to be ready. iorderedpizza - really? the staff was kind and asked if i'd like a drink, but it was a very long wait for a 4pm pickup. i would not eat here again.
