it's a good place to visit with family,,,....i tried the nonvegbuffet here.....and it's absolutely good for the price that they charge...... gud ambience and nice customer service.....

as we were looking for place to eat we found this place in zomato and quickly decided to go as we were close to this place .. we headed their and was super hungry and we ordered nonvegthali we were three people and ordered different meat and seafood so we got to taste everything and it was amazingly delicious and yummy every bite was delicious 😋... we were very happy to eat here as it was our last day in vizaq and got to eat some delicious food before we leave .. it was a sure 👍 and must visit place .

went to dakshin for the first time yesterday. ordered chettinad biryani, chettinad chicken curry, rotis andvegthaalis.

the wait staff is least concerned about service. they're complacent and ignore customers despite repeated requests. completely ruined the whole experience.

was near the railway station and wanted to try good andhra cuisine around. so we ended up at this place. after seeing such positive reviews we expected a lot more but we're disappointed. ordered nonvegthali to get ice cold fish started and horrible biriyani rest everything was tasty so the rating is three.

cozy ambience and courteous staff yet they need to improve on customer service.

budget friendly buffet with equal spread forvegand non veg. have tried both lunch n dinner buffet and realised food was just average.deserts too were not that great 😢

hosted all my staff here on a saturday afternoon...the service was very poor.we were 11 of us and for the first 10 min nobody even offered a glass of water.  coming to the food..we ordered 8 non -veg and 3vegthaalis.good value for money but the thaalis arrived after 25 minutes.very strange!!and the food is extremely salty and spicy!!they are somehow surviving  on their old reputation.!!they seriously need to pull up their socks!!not agood experience!!yes  .. their saving grace is their pricing!!

this place is famous for their nonvegspread. they give you an option to choose from mutton chicken prawns and fish curry/fry. i tried prawns curry and fried fish. i was doubtful about the prawn curry but then it was savoury with the tender coconut to flavour it. the fried fish was ok. the staff is cordial. the mutton biryani was tasty as well.

dakshin has a very comforting vibe to it and the feeling that you're in able hands, coming from the renowned daspalla group. it's an exclusively non-veg restaurant with a fully non-veg menu but they will try and servevegfrom theirvegrestaurant next door if need be. 

i went for lunch around closing time, perhaps 3:10 pm or so but still there was a fair amount of crowd. 

the things i tried were - 

kobbari royyalu - cooking prawns to perfection is a delicate affair. since they don't take a lot of time to cook, even a slight mishap may spell disaster. but after a very long time, got pleasantly surprised by how perfectly done these prawns were. cooked in minimal spices and grated coconut, this was a delight and a perfect side dish. 

kodiguddu omelette koora - tried it out of curiosity more than anything :) as the name suggests, it's the usual masala omelette cut up into chunks and cooked in a spicy telugu-style curry. had it with steamed rice and there's nothing that could go wrong. something i would definitely try again.

service - prompt staff, and patiently answered by questions about the food. the food arrived quickly as well.
ambience - nothing that stands out but it's your quintessential family restaurant with dim lights and comforting décor. 
prices - reasonably priced for what you get. 

final note - when you're in the jagadamba area and craving some non-veg, this is where you head!

for first time ive tried dakshin sterday...i tookvegthali which was 130+taxes includedvegcorn soup, banana fry,brinjal fry,sambar,rasam,pesara kattu, snake gaurd perugu pacchadi,curd,gongura pacchadi,ras malai, ice cream...my mom ordered nonvegthali 350+taxes included chicken corn soup ,1 big piece naan ,panner curry,chicken biryani (katori), any 2 nonvegcurries / fried item (mutton ,chic,fish , prawns) we ordered mutton curry n prawn fry ..both were very tasty, onion raita , banana fry,sambar,rasam,pesarakattu, sweet n ice cream ...which was worth for every katori in thali ...the pakka andhra thali !!!

aquarium hotel i used to call this in childhood.

had been there for dinner and taste their nonvegthali. they offer thali at very affordable rate. quality and quantity both were too good. the staff behaviour was really great and the service was as quick as possible. would like to be there again.

been there twice now. love their buffet spread! food is fresh and spread is srumptuious! enjoyed the nonvegoptions and loved every bite. wish could have space for more food. they need to work on their dessert section though! kept waiting for souffle but it never came :(

not so satisfied.. had the nonvegmeals.. comes with the option of 2 out of 3 varieties of non veg. taste is ok. ambience is good. u can visit once.. cannot be a regular one to go here..

loved the ambience and the food. awesome service. went there with my wife and had a nonvegbuffet and one steamed rice with a fish item in coconut milk prepared in keralite style.
buffet is a must. total value for money. fish starters are awesome and so was the egg curry or guddu pulusu

vizag has been really kind to us in terms of fabulous food..nonvegthali @ dakshin was divine..in fact its easily the best till date for me..i opted for mutton curry and prawn fry for my thali (other options being fish and chicken) and was floored by the taste and quantity..veg thali (specially bitter gourd crispy fry), sweet lassi were really great as well ..another must visit for all the foodies at vizag
