i heard a lot about the food at hotel daspalla . after a long time i got the opportunity. tried their non-veg thali . let me tell you it's too good to believe. you should have an appetite to try all the items served in the thali . it's sumptuous and value for money.

i have a great experience eating here.. the food is superb. amount is very good.. authentic andhra style food. good service definitely recommend to eat there..

that seems really great na!! exactly what i felt to be there. you should definitely order their mutton and prawn delicacies, they are just amazing at it. service is really on fast lane as well cleanliness. biriyani is filled with black pepper taste really a lot different from hyderabadi biriyani. a must visit place when in vizag.

i have been hearing about daspalla biryani and spicy prawns for many years now. being from bangalore, i always wanted to taste how vizag biryani wd be as compared to hyderabadi.

i ordered biryani, prawn curry, hot and sour soup and matar paneer.

the biryani tastes very different and leaves an after taste of blackpepper. personally i like the flavors of hyderabadi more.

the spice and salt levels in the soup and prawns curry were more to my taste.
the ambience and the service was good.

matar paneer was good, the taste and texture similar to any good north indian restaurant.
chertinad prawn curry was spicy which is ok, but the salt was on higher side.

not so satisfied.. had the non veg meals.. comes with the option of 2 out of 3 varieties of non veg. taste is ok. ambience is good. u can visit once.. cannot be a regular one to go here..

excellent food.korameenu fry,bommidayala pulusu too good. we had mutton mulagula shorba which is also good .we can plan for good south indian non veg

loved the ambience and the food. awesome service. went there with my wife and had a non veg buffet and one steamed rice with a fish item in coconut milk prepared in keralite style.
buffet is a must. total value for money. fish starters are awesome and so was the egg curry or guddu pulusu

vizag has been really kind to us in terms of fabulous food..non veg thali @ dakshin was divine..in fact its easily the best till date for me..i opted for mutton curry and prawn fry for my thali (other options being fish and chicken) and was floored by the taste and quantity..veg thali (specially bitter gourd crispy fry), sweet lassi were really great as well ..another must visit for all the foodies at vizag

i dropped into this place especially to eat the famous natukodi chicken as advised by a localite friend. the chicken turned out to be amazing (both starters and curry) and we were quite satisfied as per our expectations.

the thing that offended us was the service. this place gives you a feeling that its best suited for families and they were undoubtedly getting the most attention too. since we were a group of 5 young friends, every other table was being attended to regularly except ours in spite of asking repeatedly.

it took almost 10 minutes for them to provide the menu, 15 minutes to come and take down the order, about 40 minutes for the food and surprisingly 15 more for getting the bill. all timings are from the time we askes them to do the same, which is more surprising.

you have a reputation, amazing food but you don't qualify if you don't treat your customers well.

inside dasapalla hotel this is a fabulous place to have authentic south indian non veg food... have the spicy chettinad biriyani.. it's a must try... a true fiery mouthful... never miss

had dinner many times here. the best buffet in town in the terms of vfm( value for money). serves many non-veg dishes and veg-dishes at the cost of 500 rs approx. the food quality is very good. best option to visit with family.

food is awesome. the thali was so large variety of food that am unable to finish all. ambiance is good. staff of the hotel are very friendly.

if you are bored of chinese cuisine and want to hit some spicy andhra style, this is it.
its got the dinner buffet too at 500/-*, not a place to visit quite much but can hit for a change.

dakshin is one of the best places to have sumptuous thali in vizag. they have both the variants, north and south loaded with a wide variety of mouth watering delicacies.

apart from  the office crowd i have noticed a lot of families come out and treat themselves to thali which proves their quality.

the food served here does complete justice to the stature of dakshin as the flagship restaurant of daspalla. a hotel that is a landmark in the history of vizag.
